An unforgettable 3-day Masai Mara safari with an amazing guide
We had an amazing 3 day safari in the Masai Mara with Tall Masai Safari and couldn’t be happier with our experience.
Our guide and driver, Aron was incredible. He did everything he could to make sure we saw as many animals as possible, and thanks to him we even managed to see all of the Big Five and more. He was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and shared so much information with us throughout our game drives. We learned a lot from him. He also shared lots of interesting information about Kenya beyond the wildlife, which made the whole experience even more special.
We honestly didn’t want the safari to end. If we ever come back, we would definitely choose to go with him again.
The whole experience was also very well organized from the beginning. Our communication with Nancy before the trip was excellent she always responded to our messages very quickly, answered all our questions, and made sure everything was arranged smoothly before we arrived.
Everything went perfectly from start to finish, and we felt very well taken care of throughout the trip. We would absolutely recommend Tall Masai Safari, and especially Aron, to anyone planning a safari in Kenya.

Good Safari But Issues!
My wife and I are seniors and booked the “6-day Sopa Lodges 4x4 Jeep Shared Tour By Tall Masai” almost a year in advance. There were definitely positives: the game drives were excellent, and our guide Joseph — a Maasai who grew up near the parks — knew the area and wildlife extremely well and made sure we had good viewing time each day. We also met many friendly travelers who joined us. Most were low budget campers staying in tents or small huts, and they seemed satisfied with the safari they purchased.
However, the organization didn’t match what we expected. After paying the deposit, many of my emails went unanswered, and communication was vague. Approximately 60 days before the safari, I suddenly received several WhatsApp messages within an hour insisting that the remaining balance be paid immediately. Even though I had asked a couple of times prior for a balance due date, it was never provided. The timing was inconvenient — I was watching the World Cup with friends and had to leave to handle the payment.
I interpreted the term “shared safari” to mean a single group traveling together and staying in the same accommodations with a guide. This was not the case. Travelers joined and left constantly and stayed at different locations. This resulted in a lot of time spent picking up and dropping off people. On the first day we were picked up at 6:30am but didn’t leave Nairobi until around 9am. The group changed almost daily, and each day involved long hours in the vehicle. My wife and I didn’t join the group on Day 2 because we still had jet lag and Day 1 was 13 hours of travel, which was exhausting.
The biggest issue was a change in accommodation at Lake Nakuru. The 3 hotels listed were a big selling point for us to purchase this safari. We looked them up on-line and they were amazing. Our invoice listed Lake Nakuru Lodge inside the reserve, but we were moved to a hotel in town about 20 miles away. The hotel room itself was adequate, but it was nothing like what we expected and paid for. This reduced the quality of the experience and required extra driving. We were not told about the change until we arrived at the hotel, and we were not happy.
Overall, the wildlife experience and Joseph’s guiding were excellent, but the logistics, communication, and accommodation changes did not match what was advertised. Travelers booking a shared safari should be aware that the group may change daily and that everyone may be staying at different locations. We did not finish the trip with any of the people we started with.

Okay
Our Guide didn't talk with us, only to the other part of the group. He didn't take care about our preferences. One time we saw a cheetah and he didn't stop for five seconds. And he was really unfair to the other cars. There was a leopard in the bush and he skipped the line. He really wanted to go back to the hotel, really fast.

Easy for great experience
Tall Masai is a great agency to organise good safari experiences! Our driver and guide was great: roads are not easy but we felt safe with him and while at safari he could catch all we needed to see. A magical moment

The price is reasonable.
The company itself does not provide safari, but is an intermediary, so I think the quality of the tour will change depending on the guide.
The guide was a kind person, but I didn't know the departure time or details for the next day, and I learned about it for the first time after I asked other participants.
He guided me by car to see the animals, but there was no explanation about the animals and he was just driving.
I was able to book at a relatively reasonable price, but I can't guarantee the quality of the guide, so I need to be aware of it. However, I don't think there is much difference in the number or types of animals that can be seen in any guide.
It can't be helped, but it was cramped because the tour was full of 8 people. Some luggage must be placed on the car, and there is a high possibility that it will get dirty with sand.
I wasn't very satisfied with the guide, so I didn't plan to pay tip, but I paid a little because I was billed.

Amazing Safari with Tall Masai Safari
We just got back from an incredible trip to Amboseli National Park with Tall Masai Safari and we couldn’t recommend them more.
From the very start everything was smooth and professional. The highlight of our trip was definitely our driver and guide, John. John was absolutely fantastic. He knew Amboseli like the back of his hand and found us amazing wildlife sightings, including elephants with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background. Beyond being an expert guide, John was friendly, patient, and made sure we were comfortable and safe the whole time. He went above and beyond to make the safari unforgettable.
We also stayed at Kimana Camp, and it was perfect. Beautiful location, great food, and such a peaceful atmosphere after a day out on safari. Waking up with views of the bush and Kilimanjaro and hearing the wildlife at night was magical.
If you’re looking for a safari company that combines great service, local knowledge, and genuine care for their guests, choose Tall Masai Safari.
Thank you Tall Masai Safari for an experience we’ll never forget.

Fantastic weekend in Amboseli with Tall Massai Safari
We just spent an amazing weekend in Amboseli National Park with Massai Tall Safari and we loved it.
The organization was great and our driver was fantastic, knowledgeable, patient, and he made sure we saw the best of the park. We were so lucky to spot so many animals, especially the elephants, and to enjoy the unforgettable views of Mount Kilimanjaro. We even got to see it completely clear with no clouds, which was magical.
We stayed at Kimana Camp and it was perfect. The bandas are simple but very comfortable, clean, with hot showers. The dining area and lounge have spectacular views of Kilimanjaro and dinner there was a highlight.
The only downside: the van felt a bit tight for our group of 8. Apart from that, everything was excellent.
The staff at the camp were also very friendly and welcoming, and we really appreciate that it’s a locally owned business, not a big chain.
Highly recommend both Massai Tall Safari and Kimana Camp.

Wonderful Experience
An incredible experience, seeing all kinds of animals in the wild. Plus, thanks to the driver's commentary, we gained a much better understanding of how these animals live their day to day lives.
