Excellent experience from start to finish
Our 6 day private safari with Mateo Travel and Adventure was an excellent experience right from the start. Patrick promptly responded to our initial request for information with a range of accommodations for each of the parks we wanted to visit. He answered all our questions quickly and we picked the combination that suited our budget. Once we confirmed the final proposal, everything went smoothly, from our initial pickup, the train ride to the first park, and meeting our guide.
Eric, our guide, was outstanding! He has great knowledge about the animals and his ability to spot them in the distance was amazing. He was also a very good and careful driver, both in the parks and on the highway back to Nairobi on our last day. Always good natured, calm and polite. We enjoyed chatting with him and learned so much not only about the parks but also about Kenya in general.
We appreciate how professional and organized Mateo Adventures is and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Thank you Eric and Patrick!

An amazing knowledgeable guide and an overall unforgettable experience with animals & accommodation
Firstly all the communications before travelling were excellent and clear. Our guide was Eric and he was an incredibly knowledgeable young man, who not only gave us exceptional information about all the animals and birds, but also was very well informed about lots of social and cultural subjects in Kenya which made the drives very interesting. He always had the vehicle spotless for us and made lots of accommodations for my 9 year old - who loved him so much he made a Minecraft version of the car and Eric! We saw a huge range of animals, Eric was a great driver - we felt like we were on a true adventure yet felt safe the whole time. Both the Hunters Luxury Camp and Voi Safari lodge were amazing. Both stunning in their own ways. Hunters was beautiful with stunning camp rooms and great pool, Voi has this cool tunnel where you can get incredibly close to the animals at the watering hole. My son loved all the hyrax, monkeys and lizards around the place as well!
There was an ample selection of food options and we even had a picnic one of the longer days which was excellent. Service everywhere was friendly and relaxed but ultimately the scenery, flora and fauna stole the show. Eric stopped for every bird we spotted which my son loved and he had a story for everything we saw. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Just Amazing đ
I contacted them at the very last minute before my trip to Kenya, and they organized everything very quickly. Everything went smoothly, and my safari with Gordon was perfect. Highlight of the trip
We could not have selected a better company than Mateo for our first safari experience. From the beginning, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. Eric was an amazing guide throughout our 6d/5n safari from Mombasa that included both Tsavos, Taita Hills and Amboseli. He is an excellent and safe driver, very knowledgeable about African wildlife â his degree in biology certainly shows â and a great communicator. He also connected wonderfully with our 13yo son, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We also really appreciated meeting Patrick upon our arrival in Nairobi. His warm welcome and help in resolving our immediate issues made us feel comfortable in the city from the start. We definitely recommend Mateo to anyone planning a safari!

Great Adventure
We had an amazing experience during our 4-day safari through Amboseli, Taita Hills and Tsavo East. Everything was perfectly organized and we felt very well taken care of from the beginning on.
