Zuriafrica safaris
Trip taken from October 19th to October 31st. Dennis, the owner, is fantastic. A semi-luxury safari. The safari portion was superb, the landscapes and animals breathtaking, with a private photographer. The hotels, the staff, the locations—everything was magnificent. Our French-speaking guide (Jeanette) was cheerful, and Max, the driver, went off the beaten track to give us the most secluded safari experience possible, avoiding large gatherings of vehicles. For the Zanzibar portion, we stayed in two hotels, both equally perfect. The first was enormous with no fewer than six swimming pools, a small town, and delicious meals. The second was facing the sea with two infinity pools. For excursions, we visited Snowtown with Medhi, a very pleasant French-speaking guide who taught us a lot, Prison Island with its giant tortoises, and finally, swimming with sea turtles—quite touristy, though. An excursion that was planned but shortened at our request—swimming with dolphins—I strongly advise against this excursion, which I believe traumatizes the dolphins. Too many tourists, too many boats. However, this is in no way the fault of our tour operator; we had chosen this service. Finally, the election chaos, which paralyzed the entire population, prevented us from attending the dinner boat trip and disrupted communication. But being in Zanzibar, we were able to return to France without any problems. I would, of course, recommend Zuriafrica Safaris to anyone wishing to go on a beach safari. Dennis's prices are more than affordable, and he is professional, able to resolve unforeseen issues quickly, and always available. Most spectacular and life changing experience of our lives.
We spent 6 days on a safari with our guide Frank and cook Peter. I’ll start by saying that we had hands down the most spectacular and special experience. First of all, we were able to book our trip last minute with Dennis who was flexible in creating the best possible experience within our budget. As soon as we landed in Arusha, we were picked up by Dennis and Frank and our adventure started. Our safari took us to Tarangire national park, Serengeti national park, Ngorongoro conservation area, Manyara national park, and Materuni village. In this time we were fortunate enough to see the Big Five (and so so so much more) because of Franks vast knowledge and years of experience. We witnessed National Geographic level beauty and animal drama. And as a cherry on top, we got engaged in the Serengeti. Once Dennis found out, he even surprised us in Materuni with the help of the villagers with an amazing celebration. This trip was so special and we wouldn’t have wanted to do it any other way.
