Amazing Trip
What and amazing safari, SCUBA and Cape Town experience. Matthys booked us in the most beautiful places and every attention to detail regarding travel between destinations. The lodge in Sabi Sands was spectacular as was the beach resort in Mozambique. However, the SCUBA operation there was not up to PADI standards.

Adelle was responsive, informative, and persistent!
We started speaking with a number of operators. Many only wanted to push cookie cutter packages or would state that what we wanted to do couldn't be possible. However, Adelle stayed with us through the many (many) iterations of our trip and ultimately was responsive, helpful, quick, and knowledgeable.
She worked within our budget (something others seemed to ignore), provided accurate and complete quotes, and took the time to understand the type of accommodations and experiences we were seeking.
I was impressed with her ability to pivot, provide great input, and remain friendly and helpful even when I was sure she must be ready to throw up her hands ;). She was a wonderful resource of information and I have even referred someone else to her already (and we are en route home now).

Discover Africa creates tailored itineraries for the trip of a lifetime.
Discover Africa completely tailored our itinerary to our desires and needs for our South Africa trip. We traveled with two teenagers over the Christmas holiday and wanted to pack in a LOT without completely overwhelming everyone. We added in the extra challenge of planning our trip rather late in the year. Having staff on the ground in the country and close relationships with hotels and tour providers made a huge difference for us and allowed us to do everything we hoped. We spent nine days in South Africa, equally split between Sabi Sabi game preserve, Cape Town and Hermanus. Discover Africa helped us get a taste of the vast natural and cultural diversity of the country. The quality of the lodge accommodations, dining and game guides there exceeded our expectations. Our Cape Town hotel was perfectly located to take advantage of all the festive activities and restaurants, and Discover Africa helped us to make reservations during this very busy time. The Hermanus portion of our trip provided stunning views and relaxation. Every component of our trip was well-timed and planned, down to the transport between locations. We felt secure that we could reach out to Discover Africa at any time with changes or concerns. It was a trip our kids will remember for a lifetime!

Faultless planning, advice, guidance and support from start to end, best holiday ever.
One holiday that's best left to the experts for advice planning and guidance especially coming from a country so far away. (Australia) We travelled as family, Wife and 17 year old daughter.
Our travel agent was absolutely wonderful and was only a phone call or message away to answer questions or provide any support or advice that was required.
The service and accommodations were faultless with impeccable service standards from all staff involved, amazing culture and culinary experiences which will be remembered forever and of course will have us returning in the near future. While initially our thoughts on pricing was slightly high, we soon came to realize that considering the amazing locations and remoteness, the high first class standard, the experiences we encountered, it is absolutely worth every penny and would not think twice about returning for more.

Excellent Kenya/Masai Mara Vacation
Discover Africa Safaris was instrumental in planning the Nairobi/Masai Mara portion of my 50th birthday celebration. I struggle to find words to describe my recent travels. The suggested itinerary was perfect, even after my sister and I were delayed because we completely forget to secure the required visa for entry into Kenya. The trip cost was reasonably fair and totally worth the money. The entire trip details provided by Discover Africa Safaris from beginning through our few adjustments were thorough and very clear. I had the time of my life visiting Nairobi, Kenya. All arranged drivers were great, the citizens were warm and inviting, and the accommodations and delicious foods served our needs well.
In Masai Mara, we have numerous stories that will bring us laughter for many years to come. The safari tour driver, Dennis, was the real star of the trip. He ensured that we saw as many animals as possible, including the big five (rhinoceros, lion, elephant, leopard, and Cape buffalo) within the first two drives.

Spectacular
We had a fabulous trip. Everything was perfect from drivers meeting us at the airport, to amazing accommodations, excellent safari guides, and five star service. Every day I saw something I never thought I would see in my life. We saw a new born zebra, baby lions, families of numerous animals and even a leopard stalking prey. We saw all of the big 5 as well as met Maasai people and learned about their life. The landscapes and sunsets were breathtaking. Highly recommend.

Very knowledgeable and patient given we had a few requests.
We travelled between Xmas and New Year but booked last minute, just 1 week before departure as we were unsure what to do. Our Agent Susan was very helpful and patient as we had lots of questions. Susan was very professional and managed to answer all our concerns. We had the most amazing experience and everything went smoothly. We thought given we were going off-peak we would miss out on things, but actually it was perfect and loved that it was quieter.
