One of the things I appreciated most about Jasmine was her excellent communication throughout the planning process and our entire trip. She was responsive, attentive, and made sure we had the information we needed every step of the way. As a Tanzanian woman and small business owner, Jasmine brings something truly special to her work. The accommodations were absolutely immaculate! Every hotel and lodge we stayed at was clean, beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming. From Moshono Hillside Hotel in Arusha to Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge and Marera Valley Lodge, every property was thoughtfully selected. Kisiwa House in Stone Town was a wonderful place to experience the island's history and culture, while Casa Del Mar Beach Resort provided the perfect opportunity to slow down, relax, and enjoy Zanzibar's beautiful beaches. The quality of the accommodations really stood out, and we were impressed with how well everything was arranged.
The transportation and logistics were just as impressive. Every driver we encountered was kind, professional, punctual, and accommodating. Airport pickups, hotel transfers, flights, excursions, and scheduled activities were all coordinated for us. Everything worked out smoothly, and we never had to stress about figuring out where we needed to be or how we were getting there. Traveling between multiple destinations can be overwhelming, but Jasmine took care of the details so we could focus on enjoying our vacation. That peace of mind was invaluable!
The safari experience was absolutely incredible, and our guides, Showtime and Jackson, deserve a special shout-out! They were SOOOOO nice, kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Their warm personalities made the game drives even more enjoyable, and they helped make our time in the parks truly memorable. Exploring Tarangire National Park and visiting the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater were unforgettable experiences. Seeing the wildlife in its natural habitat was amazing, and having guides who were so friendly and enthusiastic made the experience even better. They helped make us feel comfortable and added so much to our safari adventures.
My absolute favorite experience was the hot air balloon safari! It was breathtaking and easily the highlight of the entire trip. Floating above the African landscape and taking in the scenery from above was an experience I will never forget. It was peaceful, exhilarating, and truly once in a lifetime. If you book with Sarafika Tours and have the opportunity to add the hot air balloon excursion to your itinerary, DO IT! It was absolutely worth it and created one of the most special memories of our entire African adventure.
I also loved the variety of experiences Jasmine incorporated into our itinerary. We enjoyed exciting wildlife safaris, visited a Maasai village, and explored the rich history, architecture, markets, and culture of Stone Town. We then transitioned to the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar, where we could relax and soak up the island atmosphere. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between adventure, cultural immersion, and relaxation. We were able to experience so much without feeling like we had to manage all the moving pieces ourselves.
What truly sets Jasmine and Sarafika Tours apart is the combination of thoughtful planning, local expertise, reliable connections, and genuine care. Committed to providing a wonderful experience
My mom and I were really happy with the safari that Jasmine (owner of Sarafika) put together for us. And we were also very happy that Sarafika is owned and run by local Tanzanians, as we wanted our money to stay as local as possible. Jasmine also works to book lodges/hotels owned by Tanzanians.
We felt it was reasonably priced and that we received excellent service. She was always available to help us with any issues that came up. For example, our luggage did not arrive upon landing at the airport. She helped ensure we took the right steps to get our luggage and also served as our point of contact for arranging its timely delivery since we opted not to get SIM cards during our safari.
The lodges and hotels we were booked at were wonderful. There were a couple mix-ups about our rooms when we were given rooms with just one bed instead of two. But the lodges were very flexible for us and either switched our rooms or gave us an extra room free of charge. Also, Jasmine worked to make sure that our future reservations had the right room type.
Our guide was also top notch. Boniface was knowledgeable, friendly, and had a supernatural ability to spot animals! He did everything he could to give us the best experience. We were even the very first car to arrive at a Mara River crossing, which was crazy! Of course it’s nature and there’s a big element of luck to what you will see as well.

From start to finish this was by far my greatest life experience ever. I give 100% of my credit to Jasmine and her exerienced staff!
Jasmine, had a very to the point and a no pressure approach which gained my trust. There are so many Tour Company's to choose from. I had spoken to about 8 companies and narrowed it down to two. I went with Sarafika because of the importance of giving back to the Tanzania Community.
I shared my interests of what I was looking for regarding the trip and before long the Itinerary was created I was very impressed by the itinerary matching my interests with in my timelinesl of travel. That is where i feel Jasmine's local relationships and experience played a huge roll. It was challenging because we were in about a 2-3 week window of my travel dates. Once agreed upon, payment was made and the trip was set.
Very professionally corridinated and the communications throughout the process was spectacular. Never felt alone and wondering.
Upon landing in Kilimanjaro Airport and completed the immigration and visa process, I was greeted by a man holding a plaquard with my name on it. The individuals throughout the trip were amazing. I was feeling guilty at some points because they did everything for me. All of the transportation throughout the entire trip (Private car, Bus, Air planes) were logically on point.
The Resorts including in the Bush were second to none! Everyone of them were professional, clean, safe and most of all provided excellent food services. Again, I attribute Jasmine's experience and knowledge of Tanzania for accomplishing all the amazing accommodations in the short notice.
First day of the trip was to Mt. Kilimanjaro to learn the history of the mountain and experience the hike not to the top of course. My tour guide was Moses who was awesome. He met me the night before at the h e Key Hotel in Mushi to review the hike. His knowledge and experience with Mt. Kilimanjaro was exceptional. After the Mountain Excursion he and I headed to Arusha to my start of the Safari potion of my trip. Excellent, Resort outside of Arusha. Very beautiful and excellent food.
The next morning, my personal Tour Guide Gabe was there to great me. He was an excellent guide who has two decades of experience in the Safari Tour Industry. I was a little overwhelmed with the vast landscape of the Serengeti. Gabe was able to teach me so much about the animals and their patterns throughout different terrains. It allowed me to narrow and focus on locating the specific animals we were looking at. The landscape and the animals blend spectacularly. Again, Gabe and his experience made a huge success in the safari excursions. I was fortunate to have him as my guide because I left Africa knowing some much than when I arrived. Thats a huge accomplishment achieved.
After the Safari Experiences for 4 days I headed to Zanzibar Island for another amazing experience. I was fortunate to stay at the Z2 Resort in Nungwi Northern tip of Zanzibar Island. Again, the resort was amazing with access to the white sands beach and unbelievable shades of Aqua to deep shades of blue waters of the Indian Ocean. The accommodations were out of this world 3 excellent restaurants with the Z and the Z2 Resorts, which you have full access to both facilities. That was a perfectly planned ending to4 this unbelievable experience with relaxation on the beaches of Africa.
I was there 10 days 9 nights.
In closing, I plan to head back again and definitely will be using Sarafika again.

Amazing attention to detail
Our group of 8 consisting of family and friends had the most amazing experience. Our guides were wonderful and our resorts were fabulous. We enjoyed our delicious meals in the bush . We were able to see so many animals on our safari. We enjoyed our coffee farm tour and the fabulous hike to the materuni waterfalls before we started our experience in the Serengeti. Jasmine and the Sarafika team had beautifully arranged everything for us.

My wife and I along with three other couples (close friends for many decades)were ecstatic with the experience in total from the experience with Sarafika tours’ Jasmine and her team from transportation to the Safari experience and other cities that we added to the trip.Everything that we experienced was excellent and I have a very “discerning” group of friends. The experience,value, accommodations ,excellent guides including them the congeniality,professionalism,driving skills, of everybody involved providing the ability to see any and every animal from the Great Migration ,Serengeti, The Mara river and actual viewing of multiple crossings along c Ngorongoro Crater experience . I can count the number of reviews that I’ve written through my travels on one hand and this is one that I had to write just because it was five star in every way.

Amazing
We went on a 3-night, 4-day safari as part of a group tour with the tented camps/lodge option, and everything was absolutely fantastic! The organization was smooth, and we got to see an incredible variety of animals. The people were friendly and professional, never pushy.
A special shoutout to Jasmine, who was amazing and always available to help. We had so much fun throughout the trip, making unforgettable memories. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience at an excellent price-performance ratio. We would highly recommend Sarafika to anyone looking for an unforgettable and enjoyable safari adventure!
