Unbelievable experience
We had the absolute time of our lives with Akondo Adventures and our amazing guide Dave!
The trip was perfectly organized, filled with unforgettable moments, the accommodations were incredibly comfortable and had the best staff on site.
But what really has made our safari exceptional was our guide and now also friend, Dave!
He is the best, kindest, coolest and funniest guide we could ever have hoped for.
Furthermore, his 17 years safari experienced ensured us a lot of rare and incredible moments during our game drive!!
Dave’s knowledge, energy and warm personality turned every game drive into an adventure we’ll never forget.
He made us feel safe, welcome and constantly entertained (ask him about the recipe for mashed potatoes)!
Thanks to him, we not only saw amazing wildlife but also laughed more than we did in ages :).
If you’re looking for a safari experience that goes above and beyond, Akondo Adventures is the way to go and if you’re lucky enough to get Dave as your guide, you’re in for something very special.

Richard was very accommodating, was knowledgeable about all wildlife, and made us feel right at home
This was our first trip to Tanzania. We booked our safari with Alonso Adventures with Boris, who went above and beyond to answer all of our questions. this trip was for my mom‘s birthday and Boris helped me plan the perfect birthday trip for my mom. We met Richard, our tour guide, right as we got off the plane. Richard was the absolute best. We highly recommend him as your tour guide. He not only made us laugh and helped us enjoy our time, he was very very knowledgeable about all the wildlife, especially the birds! We learned so much from him. Boris also helped us plan a birthday cake surprise for my mom, and they all sang the birthday song in a group for her, including Richard! Richard was like family. We also made friends at the hotel, including Rocky. Rocky made sure we had everything we possibly needed. We love Rocky. Then Boris helped us along the way with transfers and flights to Zanzibar. We had an amazing time on the island and the resort Boris had on the itinerary was top notch. We booked excursions on the island and all transfers included in the excursions were very pleasant. At the hotel, we met Pedro, who was extremely helpful with all excursions and other things to do on the island and any other thing that we needed. Pedro was consistently checking in with us, making sure everything was perfect for us. He also helped us plan a birthday cake for my mom and sang to her as well. Boris helped us along the way and with our flight back to Kilimanjaro from Zanzibar. The transfer from Arusha airport to Kilimanjaro airport was extremely nice! His name was Ezekiel. He was 23 and was learning English and was doing very well! We loved how eager he was to learn more English, and he was teaching us Swahili! We will never forget this trip thanks to Boris, Richard, Pedro, Rocky and Ezekiel and everyone else in between. If you’re thinking about booking a trip to Tanzania, you must use a condo adventures with Boris!!

Very good
An Unforgettable Game Safari with Akondo and the best guide Richard!
We spent three absolutely magical days in Tanzania with the company Akondo, and we can't say enough good things about our guide Richard. From day one, we felt warmly welcomed and way before our trip started everything was perfectly organized by Boris.
On the first day, we explored the stunning landscapes and animals of Tarangire.
On the second day, we descended into the Ngorongoro Crater. On the third day, we enjoyed the beauty of Lake Manyara and her animals. In between, we stayed at the Escarpment Luxury Lodge, which was a true haven of comfort and hospitality.
Richard was fantastic in every way. He was like a walking encyclopedia full of knowledge about nature and wildlife, and he made sure we always felt safe and comfortable. We spotted incredible animals, including giraffes, elephants, zebras, the Big Five, and even witnessed a once-in-a-lifetime moment: a leopard hunting a warthog live—something our guide had not seen in ten years! Especialy because we could film it because Richard drove to the best spot.
This trip was unforgettable. Thank you, Akondo and Richard, for an amazing experience!

A wonderful safari trip completing the Big Five, with an excellent tour operator
We had an amazing safari. Richard is a very professional and experienced guide who made our trip truly wonderful. We saw many animals — cheetahs, a leopard, numerous lions, and many others. This is our second time in Tanzania, and we are leaving with amazing memories. Thank you to Richard for all his efforts in showing us the beautiful wildlife of Tanzania

Amazing
The safari organized by Akondo Travel was a dream experience that I highly recommend to anyone wanting to discover the true essence of Tanzania. I visited three extraordinary parks – Serengeti, Tarangire, and Ngorongoro – where I admired lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, rhinos, and many other animals in their natural habitat, all while staying in wonderful open-air lodges immersed in the savannah with spectacular views. A special thanks goes to Richard, our guide: knowledgeable, helpful, passionate, and always ready to share interesting facts about nature and local traditions. He made every day full of emotions and security. Akondo, the Best for your safari adventure… efficient, great communication and great service.
From the moment I contacted Akondo I knew we were in good hands. Boris responded very quickly to my enquiry and offered some great choices for our trekking experience at Gombe National Park. Communication was always clear and responses were timely. Boris arranged a fully inclusive tour. We were picked up for private transfer to the airport, from our hotel in Dar es Salaam and met at Kigoma airport by our guide, Jackson. We stayed at the Hilltop hotel in Kigoma for one night then travelled, by boat, the following morning, to The NP where we checked into our lodge at Mbali Mbali for two nights. (Accommodation will be reviewed separately.) Jackson took care of us during our stay in Gombe and accompanied us on our chimpanzee treks. He is very knowledgeable about the local habitat and the wildlife. He was very supportive during the trek as some parts are quite steep (but easily doable for a 64 year old!) so he took my hand to make sure I was ok. Much appreciated. The whole tour from beginning to end was seamless and Jackson was on hand to answer any queries. The trackers and rangers also work very hard to ensure visitors have a positive experience. We had three treks and each one provided a different experience/interaction with chimps, an experience that will always stay with me. Also, ask to see Jane Goodall’s house and memorial, very touching. I highly recommend booking your tour with Akondo to ensure your experience is the best it can be!
