Serious Safety Concerns & Risky Practices – Please Read Before Booking
My experience with this company resulted in a loss of nearly $5,000 due to a sophisticated scam, and I am writing this as a serious warning to future travelers.
After first contacting them on Instagram, the owner, Gifton, sent me a legitimate quote from their official email. When I replied to proceed, my email was intercepted by a scammer. This third party impersonated the business and tricked me into sending funds to a fraudulent US bank account.
Critically, the scammer's demand for a 100% upfront deposit did not raise a red flag, because the legitimate owner, Gifton, had also demanded 100% upfront payment during our initial discussions on Instagram. This high-risk payment policy makes customers vulnerable.
The legitimate owner only reached out to follow up after the scammer had already confirmed my payment was “received.” This timeline is highly concerning. For 13 days of back-and-forth communication, there was no intervention from the real company, which suggests a complete lack of oversight.
Even more alarming is that this security breach is ongoing and still hasn’t been fixed. After I was scammed, I sent multiple test inquiries from different alias accounts to their official email. Every single one was intercepted by the same scammer.
When I first reported this issue, the company’s response was deeply disappointing. The director, Gifton, was dismissive, suggested the problem was on my end, and showed little empathy. Their tone only changed to concern after they discovered I was introduced by a mutual acquaintance.
The safaris themselves may be wonderful, but the company’s combination of high-risk payment policies and their inability to resolve an active security breach is gross negligence. It puts every potential customer at enormous financial risk.
Until Take Me To Tanzania can publicly prove they have secured their systems, I cannot in good conscience recommend anyone engage with them. Please be extremely cautious.

Fantastic operator and team, premium experience at extremely competitive price.
Gifton and his team were amazing. Our group did a custom tour over 3 days and had a perfect experience. The accommodation and food was of a very high standard, and we saw so many animals despite it being the rainy season.
I went on to do a trip to a custom trip to a Masai Lodge with Take Me to Tanzania, and that also didn’t disappoint - anything Gifton suggests will be worthwhile!

Incredible Experience
The safari tours were truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Every guide we had was exceptional—knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate. The entire experience was unforgettable and absolutely worth doing! Already looking forward to going back to Tanzania!!

Professional, reliable and competitive pricing
Gifton and his team arranged a 3 day trip to Tarangire and Ngorogoro Crater for a large group of friends. Extremely well organised and our guides were knowledgeable and made the trip fun. They were flexible with the needs of our diverse group which included a 4 year old. Gifton is reliable, responded in a timely manner, offered competitive pricing and a professional experience. Will definitely be planning a Serengeti safari trip with him soon!

An Unforgettable Experience in Tanzania!
I had only one day available, and "Take Me to Tanzania" made sure it was nothing short of incredible! They picked me up and dropped me off seamlessly, making the entire experience stress-free. I visited the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater and was lucky enough to see four of the Big Five in just one day—what a dream come true! The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure I had the best experience possible. Highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an unforgettable safari adventure in Tanzania!

Very knowledgeable and friendly
Everything was well organized with great communication. We had also a great privat guide gifton. We enjoyed every minute and see so many things and also learned a lot about Tanzania and the wildlife.
We ware at de Tarangire, Ngorogoro, Serengeti and Nyere National Park.

Fantastic!
The tour was nothing short of incredible. Gifton, my tour guide, was knowledgeable, funny and extremely personable which made the day so much fun. I was picked up from Kilimanjaro airport and we started with the waterfall. This was great to do first up while the weather was cool and I had the energy for it.
The hike to the waterfall is decent but not too long and the views in Meru forest are breathtaking! Definitely bring along a good pair of hiking shoes as the trail crosses the river multiple times.
I was awed by the incredible craftsmanship at Shanga and the African Art Gallery at the cultural centre just has to be experienced. I could not recommend enough!

Amazing experience
Everything is in the title!
Never seen such amazing places!
My wife and I visited Ngorongoro crater and Moshi and it was mind-blowing!
Gifton and his team provided services widely above our expectations!
Lions, girafa, elephant, zebra, etc, were so incredible.
We'll never forget these special moments.
Hope we will come back and do it again soon!
