Nice safari in Amboselli and Tsavo East and West with ETA Adventure
4/5

ETA Adventure arranged the group tour for me in Amboselli and pirate tour for me in Tsavo East and West. The staff were always reachable and responsive and were happy to make last minute changes when required.
The accommodations and the food served there were good and the company staff and guides and drivers were helpful. There was an issue with late arrival of the tour car in Nairobi (partially due to traffic), however, the company took corrective steps to avoid any further delays for the rest of the trip.
The whole trip was good value for money.

They will provide you tour that suit you
4/5

Before I talk with Derrik who was in charge of my tirp, I thought I have to chose tour from what they provide. However after I told him what I am interested in and what I want to do, he made a itinerary for me. Therefore, I could use most of the time for what I want to do.
When I need some help during tour, I asked Derrik with what's app and he will reply me immediately and solve the problem. If you will do late check out, it is better to check with company and hotel. I did late check out twice but both hotels didn't know about it.
I went to Lake Naivasha, Maasai Mara, Lake Nakulu, Amboseli, Tsavo west and east, Mombasa. I saw 4/5 big fave in Maasai Mara. There was plenty of animal such as lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, giraffe, zibra, buffalo and some kinds of antelope. It was hard to find leopard and cheetah but how my tour guide, Eddie communicate with other guides and drove to the place was amazing. He has a lot of knowledge of animal and his prediction about animal's next action was amazing. He drove to the place that we could see animal yet won't disturb other people. I enjoyed so much in Maasai Mara and if you are animal person, you should go to Maasai Mara. I did full two days game drive, but since it was too good, I wanted to do three days.
In Lake Nakulu, I saw a white rhyno and beautiful sunset. If you love an elephant, Amboseli is the best place. I even saw baby elephant and he was so cute. Lake Naivasha was more "be with nature trip" than see the animal. Tsavo is huge and because of season(grass was too high), I could't see cheetah but my tour guide told me we can find them in another season. For me to see the beautiful scenary is the most memorable thing in Tsavo. I saw some water places that looks like the water place from lion king that pumba is drinking water. Mombasa has beautiful beach. Staff in my hotel which is Reef hotel, were very nice and friendly. Even thouogh I spent my birthday there by myself, I had a great day and they were very warm people. Mombasa has very strong sun. I had a terrible sun burn even though I applied sun cream and was staying the shade. It is better to bring after sunburn cream or gel.
I was traveling by myself and I experienced private tour and group tour. In group tour, I made some friends and have a wonderful time with them. However, I had different interest with others. I couldn't say anything about that, so I had to wait a lot of time. In private tour, I could use my time in game drive whatever I want, but I felt lonely. I think both have a pros and cons and I'm so happy that I could experienced both side.
Overall, I had a great time in Kenya. They arraged my birthday surprises and city tour for my need( which is done hair braided, shopping and nail art) too. Thank you for everyone who was involved in my beautiful 17 days in Kenya. I know it is not cheap but it is totally worth it. My dream came true.

6 day safari Amboseli, Tsavo West & East
4/5

We had an overall amazing safari experience through Amboseli, Tsavo West, and Tsavo East. We encountered a lot of animals, big and small, right in front of us and hiding in the bushes. The accommodations were also very nice.

The organization was not always great. On our first day, we were ready for pick-up at 6:45 AM as agreed, but no one arrived. After some phone calls and a delay of about 1.5 hour, they picked us up and apologized as they had forgotten about our safari. Then we started our journey and drove from Nairobi to Amboseli.

We did several game drives through that park. The amount of animals is stunning. We saw so many elefants, zebras, gnus, and gazelles. And we were lucky to see a group of lions hunting and a family of cheetas playing.
We were unaware of the customary tipping expectations and unfortunately did not give enough initially. Our guide became very upset, and although we corrected and gave him the amount he expected, he left without saying goodbye.

Then we went by train from Amboseli to Tsavo, which was very smooth and were picked up by the next guide.
We slept in Ngulia Safari Lodge in the Tsavo West national park after an afternoon game drive to the rhino sanctuary.
The next day, we drove through the park to Tsavo East. Initially we tried to check in at the lodge but it turned out the reservation did not work. Our new guide managed to swiftly organize a stay at the Voi Safari Lodge, which was close by and offers stunning views to the national park. Tsavo East is much different than the other two parks but beautiful as well! The next day we went for a full game drive through much of the southern part of the park.
Both lodges are very beautiful with direct view on the animals coming to the nearbye waterholes. Our driver and guide Saidi was great. He was very kind and gave us much information about the animals in the park but also Kenya in general, and had no problems correcting all the organisational issues.
On the last day we went for a short morning game drive and were driven to the airport in Mombasa as planned.

Apart from the administrative issued we enjoyed the 6 day safari a lot.

Very responsive and competitively priced
4/5

We had a good time overall in Kenya and Tanzania. In Amboseli, our driver Paul was a local and displayed very good knowledge of the wildlife and their behaviours. He predicted several times the movement of animals and herds, which meant that we often found ourselves in excellent positions to view them up close. Our tour organiser Derrick was very quick to respond to questions that we had. However, the organisation could be improved. We were picked up late on the first day by an hour, and we were given inaccurate information regarding the number of members in our Kilimanjaro trekking crew, which meant that we had to scramble to ensure we had enough for tipping. On the other hand, Eta was flexible and quick to make last minute changes to the itinerary when we had decided quite late that we wanted to spend an extra day trekking. All staff members we came across were very friendly and courteous, and they even met us at the airport to send us off with parting gifts!

Good overall, small hiccups with organisation and miscommunication
4/5

Very good communication from beginning of booking process until the end of the trip and responsive during the trip. Put us in contact with good drivers and companies for the various activities we undertook (Mt Kilimanjaro, Amboseli safari, markets, etc). There were a couple events of miscommunication between eta and other companies which led to us having to mediate between them to resolve issues.
Was not enough to dampen overall experience but could have done without the unnecessary stress from these incidents.

It was a wonderful trip . They are reliable , trustable with a bunch of jovial people.
4/5

We had booked a 6N/7D package with super eagles. Special credit goes to our guide Mr Francis, who made sure we don’t miss anything . His dedication is really appreciable . We could spot all the big five because of him , but he used to say everyday “let’s see what the nature has to offer us” . A 10/10 for Mr Francis . Special thanks to Mr Jacob as well who made sure we arrived to Nairobi safe and returned safe to the airport. Thanks to the entire team .
