Our guide, Michael, was fantastic. He was incredibly enthusiastic every day and took us to see all five of the Big Five, along with many unique experiences, such as a pride of lions on rocks in the rain. Hotels in Ndutu are in short supply. While the price-performance ratio wasn't great, the fact that we could enjoy dumplings during Chinese New Year, and that they provided hair conditioner and tissues, showed thoughtfulness. Chinese people really do understand Chinese people!
We were very satisfied with the hotels in the Serengeti; the space, facilities, and food were all excellent.
The only downside was the hotel in Karatu—it was too far, and the food wasn't very good. Maybe the previous hotels were just too delicious!
