MICHAEL is an extremely caring, attentive, and responsible guide. From the very beginning to the end of the trip, he took excellent care of us and always put our needs first. He knew exactly where and when to go, allowing us to see an incredible variety of wildlife — we were fortunate enough to see almost all the animals we hoped for. It is very clear that he has a deep love for this land and wildlife, along with extensive professional experience.
What truly surprised and touched me was that MICHAEL could explain all the animals and related knowledge in Chinese, and his explanations were clear, professional, and engaging. This is incredibly rare and made the entire Safari experience much more meaningful and immersive. Traveling with Whistling Travel in Tanzania was honestly way beyond our expectations.
We’re two girls visiting Africa for the first time, and many things felt unfamiliar at the beginning. But the Whistling team—especially Crystal, Alex, and our guide Didas—took amazing care of us from start to finish. We felt safe, relaxed, and genuinely well looked after the whole time.
Crystal was always responsive, thoughtful, and patient when helping us before and during the trip. Alex made sure everything on safari was well prepared—drinks, snacks, meals, and all the little details that really make a difference.
And most importantly, our Guide Didas!!
Didas truly made this trip unforgettable. He picked us up at the airport late at night and drove us to Moshi. Both of us get carsick very easily, but he drove extremely smoothly, slowed down for every speed bump, and made sure we were comfortable at all times.
On safari, Didas was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. Thanks to his “eagle eyes” and strong communication network, we saw lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs with cubs, leopards, and so much more. He always knew where to go and when to wait.
What we appreciated even more was how much he shared beyond wildlife—local life, culture, education, housing, and even teaching us some Swahili and Maasai words. He’s patient, funny, calm, kind, and very genuine. You can really feel how much he loves his job and his country.
We visited Chemka Hot Springs, Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Central Serengeti, and Ndutu. Whistling prepared safari beers, cold drinks (yes, with a cooler!), unlimited water, local snacks, and hot hamper meals every day. Everything was well organized and thoughtful.
Highlights included a night safari, a walking safari with rangers and Maasai guides, watching lion cubs practice hunting, hearing lions roar and hyenas laugh at night, and getting incredibly close to wildlife in the Serengeti. Every day felt special.
Leaving Tanzania was really hard—and saying goodbye to Didas even harder.
We really recommend Whistling Travel, Didas, Crystal, and Alex enough. If you’re thinking about Tanzania, just book with them. You’ll be in very good hands.

We are utterly thrilled with every aspect of our safari! Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and responsible—he could locate any animal we wished to see almost instantly. The daily itinerary was perfectly paced. We spotted nearly every species on the African wildlife checklist provided to us. Each lodge was uniquely charming, especially the glamorous 'glamping' tent where we fell asleep to the sounds of the wild. Albert, the guide from Whistling Travel, was exceptionally professional. Over the course of two days, he took us to see all of the African Big Five and also showed us incredible scenes such as lions hunting, leopards mating, and elephants fighting—an unforgettable experience. The guide on Zanzibar, Deco, was just as outstanding. He patiently encouraged me and guided me through snorkeling despite my lack of swimming experience, and I was even able to see dolphins. It was an unforgettable and amazing safari
Whistling Travel is truly a great value for money travel agency. Among all the agencies I've used, their prices are absolutely fair, and their service is excellent. First and foremost, I have to praise Xiaoxiao, our customer service representative. The initial communication process was incredibly smooth. She's experienced, professional, and provides reliable advice. I planned my own itinerary, following a large loop: Tarangire National Park -> Ngorongoro Crater -> Lake Natron -> Northern Serengeti -> Central Serengeti -> Lake Eyasi -> Moshi. Xiaoxiao provided excellent recommendations for both the duration of each stop and the choice of accommodation. We opted for mid-range accommodations, and every hotel or camp Xiaoxiao recommended was incredibly satisfying. It's not about the food and accommodation being particularly good (African cuisine can be difficult for Chinese people to adapt to, and the showers are all solar-powered, so hot water might not be available in bad weather), but rather the ambiance and service were truly delightful. The two tent camps we stayed at in northern and central Serengeti were absolutely stunning, with stunning scenery and animals roaming outside our tents at night. Secondly, our driver and guide, DEO, was also fantastic. With 13 years of experience, he was incredibly accurate in finding animals. We saw three crossings of the Tianhe River, a lion mating scene (just 5 meters away, with ours being the only car nearby), and a leopard raising its cubs (normally, professional photographers would need 3-4 months to capture this, and it was a first for the driver himself in his 13-year career). Our luck was incredible! All in all, it was a truly satisfying safari trip that met all our expectations for Tanzania!

I booked my trip through WeChat with their customer service team, and the communication throughout was smooth and enjoyable. Once I arrived in Tanzania, I was fortunate to be assigned an incredibly experienced driver and guide named Benald.
Benald was not only highly professional in tracking wildlife, but also very patient and committed. During our visit to the Mara River crossing, he took us to four different locations, waiting with us for nearly four hours — thanks to his expertise and persistence, we witnessed the dramatic wildebeest crossing, something many other tourists missed due to lack of patience. We were lucky enough to see the tail end of a second crossing later on, and during our final attempt, we only had to wait five minutes before another large group of wildebeest crossed right in front of us.
He also found us an ideal spot to observe lions for an entire afternoon, managing to secure a prime viewing location despite the high demand and pressure. Throughout the trip, Benald was incredibly hardworking, respectful, and calm. With him by our side, we didn’t have to worry about a thing. His experience, patience, and dedication made our safari unforgettable.

Thoughtful customer service, professional tour guides, and reasonable itinerary arrangements
1.They have a dedicated Chinese-speaking sales named Yuanyuan, who is highly professional in aspects such as itinerary planning, reminder of precautions, and emergency response.

He has received specialized training in knowledge about various animal species, enabling him to identify different types of animals promptly and quickly find the corresponding explanations in the animal handbook. He has incredibly "Eagle eyes" which allow him to spot well-hidden animals in the distance, such as cheetahs. Additionally, he has an extensive network of friends which help obtain useful information from other guides in real time, helping us catch sight of the Big Five and the "Crossing of the Mara River".
3.The itinerary arrangement for Zanzibar is also excellent. The local guide, Deco, is a wonderful person. He graduated from one of the top three universities in Tanzania and has unique insights into the local culture and history. Highly recommended.
