Best Tour Operator
We have just finished our safari in East Africa a family of with 3 young children including an infant and we have been humbled by the professionalism of Zippy who was pronto in replying the emails and making sure that she picked the properties that were child friendly and she was spot on. We requested for a flying safari as we were worried of the kids and the long drives but it was very nice as we didn't have to endure the long road. The guides were brilliant in every park that we visited and we were so grateful to receive some souvenirs from Zippy on our last day. It was the best holiday that we have had in a long time.
It was an unforgettable experience!
The organisation is well run with well informed and interesting guides. Their choice of venues for our tour was excellent, enabling customers to see a wide variety of wildlife in different settings. Accommodation and food were wonderful wherever we stopped off. I would thoroughly recommend the company to anyone.

Third time lucky on Kilimanjaro climb
We joined a group of 6 to climb Mt Kilimanjaro and we had been twice before with different companies but we never reached the top because altitude sickness. The safari was well organised and our friends had been recommended Daniel as a guide so we had requested for him and little did we know that he was going to be our Hero. We did Machame route and my wife and I knew that we will not make it to the the top but Daniel kept us occupied with stories that he has not taken anyone to Kilimanjaro and not made it to the top. Last day of trek was difficult we were both struggling and didn't know how far we had left and Daniel carried my wife first to the peak he came down running and to my surprise I am embarrassed to say that I also got a piggy back to the top we took a photo and quickly he took us back on the same order. We were so thrilled at his effort, he is so energetic and we cannot thank him enough. He made our dream come true.

Best 60th Birthday!!!
My husband booked the safari online through Australken and told them that it was a surprise so I didn't know about it and when we arrived Kenya we had our first stop at Intercontinental hotel which was very nice.
We moved on to Lake Nakuru which was so nice to see the Rhino and the pink flamingos which were not many as expected the highlight of safari was in Masai Mara as Zippy had recommended the hot air balloon ride which was amazing also our accommodation in Masai Mara, Osero lodge as it was a small cosy place. We felt very at home there for 3 nights. Our driver Evans could not have done more for us, he was informative both about the wildlife and the cultural aspect.
If we manage to return to Kenya again we will definitely use the same company.

Without a doubt the very best holiday my family and I have ever been on.
My family and I travelled with Australken Tours and Travel in April 2007 and to this date and with plenty more holidays under out belt it has been the best holiday we have ever taken. The personal service given to us was second to none. We were met by Zippy at the airport, her brother Simon was our safari driver, the family element to the business made the whole experience far more personal for us. We travelled with our daughter who was 3 at the time with some reservations, we need not have worried she was treated like a princess and loved every minute of it! Each accommodation we stayed in was first class from the Masi Mara to Mombassa. Simon was an excellent and most informative safari guide. The holiday exceeded our expectations and more, I can't recommend this company enough. Thank you!

All wishes fulfilled
Under Kenyan proprietorship, this outfit seems to have contacts everywhere. We had a triple centred safari and from the beginning Ms Zippy Mugweru tailored the itinerary to our wishes, no matter how great the distances involved.
We bought a private safari, with driver/guide and felt absolutely secure whether travelling on major trunk routes or on pitted trails within the reserves. Spotting potholes or leopard or lilac breasted roller with equal aplomb, our driver was simply brilliant.
This company represented real value for money and also offers payment facilities in pounds sterling, US dollars or euros, which allowed significant savings on currency exchange commission.

A fantastic experience!
We had a brilliant time on our first safari going round Samburu, Mount Kenya, Nakuru and Massai Mara. Our driver was amazing and left us in awe of his animal-spotting skills. We had absolutely no problems during our safari - all seemed perfectly well organised. I would thoroughly recommend Australken to anyone wishing to book a safari :-)

Dreams come true with Australken
We booked our safari over Australken Tours & Travel. Zippy is the best, she makes our dreams true! Everything was quick and uncomplicated. We have had an unforgettable safari tour. Exemplary service! Excellent experience!
Both my husband, George, and I would like to extend our many thanks for the exemplary professional service. We simply cannot say enough good words and thanks for our experience. It was a real pleasure to work with you and to travel with our team- Symon (guide), Daniel (cook), and Kata (assistant). (We asked for Symon and Daniel in advance and were so happy to find we were to travel with them). We enjoyed tremendously our 14 day trip including the northern Kenya circuit up to lake Turkana, and then lake Baringo, lake Nakuru, and Maasai Mara. From the time of the booking to the very end we had nothing but wonderful experience. Every detail was well thought of and arranged perfectly. We had a Land Rover for the whole trip and unforgettable off-road experience.
We are very well traveled however were very anxious about our trip to Kenya having had already a very bad experience earlier in the year in Tanzania. What a nice surprise - we were not only given all requested as part of our trip but even had things we did not expect- instead of sleeping in a tent in the 1st 10 days of our safary we were taken to great camps every night, had a room and a hot shower. Every one was so friendly and hospitable.
Symon, our guide and driver, was amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, attentive, entertaining, friendly, level-headed, and very dependable. We loved any single moment spent with him. He is an awesome guide who simply loves his job, and gives everything from himself to assure best clients' experience. There wouldn't be a signle question unanswered. He has a great sense of humor and unbeatable way of telling stories (many stories and all inetersting). What amazing time at the dinner table every night. He was also quite patient (especially with the many pictures George was taking) and would always go an extra mile for client's satisfaction. Thank you, Symon, we were lucky to have you as a guide and we liked you so much.
Daniel was a great cook, preparing always tasty and diverse food. Every time I would say that was too much food he would answer "no, no, just a little bit. Hakuna Matata". And his pancakes...they were to die for. Soup, salads, potatoes - all so much delicious, and always presented in a great way.
All in all - we had one in a lifetime experience and loved it all. We would highly recommend Australken and our team to other customers. We would go back to Kenya in a heartbeat. THANK YOU AGAIN FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS FOR EVERYTHING.
