I had a great time visiting the churches. There were many interesting facets to each church. I visited over 3 days and each day displayed a different section of the territory. I highly recommend. This was a great value.

My best recommendation to visit Lalibela
We expend wonderful time at Lalibela, and most of this was because of our guide, Maereg. He was so kind, professional, and helpful, and took good care of us. The allocation was perfect with incredible views, and the food out of comments!!! His knowledge about history and religion is amazing, and he generously shares with you. His devotion is something than we will remember through the years. He really touched our souls. Thank you my friend!

When is the best tours that we have ever taken.
At the beginning of the tour, I had a lot of doubt about the safety of being in Ethiopia. Once we arrived at the airport, we met Maereg and I started to feel more comfortable. At each moment, he made us feel safe and always was very attentive. At every step, he would answer any question that we would have. He was also an amazing photographer and took many great photos! Excellent services provided by Maereg and his Team. The local guides and the drivers - Geta (my fave) were all great. They were patient, professional, knowledgeable and took great care of us. Everything was seamlessly coordinated and they were always on time for pickups and made sure we were briefed in advance of the itinerary and any changes. One of my top travel destinations in Africa with some of the kindest and warmest people. Maereg went above and beyond! First class service with always with a smile!

Touring the rich culture of Ethiopia
This was indeed an extraordinary kaleidoscope adventure. From the big city of Addis to the castles, to the beautiful bush country. We were immensed, in the history and culture of Ethiopia. Communication with Maereg was great, a wonderful guide for Lalibela and norther regions and great to be around. He was reliable and provided a great personalised service. We really enjoyed our time here and could have stayed longer. Sora Lodge was wonderful. Due to concerns of unrest we had to change part of itinerary and ended up going to Omo Valley as part of tour. We felt this region was at times problematic, tour did not run as smoothly, level of accommodation and service not to as high a standard as provided in the north.

Very detail oriented and thorough
Had a great tour with Extraordinary tours - Abayu , Girum and Maereg covering AddisAbaba , Gondar and Lalibela. Very informative and detailed . Accomodation , Meals and Transportation were also well taken care of.
