My tour to Sweetwaters Olpajeta conservancy was mind blowing. Our guide for the day was Patrick.
5/5

A visit to Sweetwaters Olpajeta Conservancy in Kenya was an unforgettable experience, offering a blend of wildlife conservation, adventure, and breathtaking scenery.
Thankyou to Symptom Safaris for the opportunity to travel to the beautiful Laikipia county. We took a 45 mins drive from Nairobi via Nanyuki using the spacious and comfortable sumptom Safaris tourist vans.

1. Wildlife Viewing & Big Five Safari.

Olpajeta is home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino) and has one of the highest densities of predators in Kenya. Our guide Patrick ensured that we saw these animals and spent time with them .
It was such a beautiful experience.

They held our hand the entire trip!

Lucy and Mr Sumpton himself and the 2 guides we had for our Kenya/Tanzania trip were all great. From the time we first reached out to inquire about a safari with Sumpton Safaris, until we got back home last week, Lucy has been there. She responded to all our email inquiries, she then met us at the airport (with Mr Sumpton) and took us to our first hotel, and gave us a brief overview (again - we had been very well informed prior as well). For the next 2 weeks, Lucy was available thru WhatsApp for any questions we had. There were a couple of changes made and she was very good about keeping us informed along the way.

Our guides Samuel (KE) and Japhet (TZ) were wonderful. They kept us entertained and showed us the most amazing sights! We were able to spot all the Big Five as well as many many more animals and birds. We saw a lot of 'real' Kenya and Tanzania on our drives between Masai Mara and the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Amboseli Park. The entire route was very well laid out.

It might have been better to have flown back to Nairobi from Arusha (we chose to drive) but only because there was such horrible traffic that day (no fault of Sumpton Safaris!) Miles and miles of container trucks lined up due to some problem or other. Our driver did his very best to get us back to Nairobi with plenty of time to spare.

I would highly recommend Sumpton Safaris - the lodging choices were all very good. I'd also recommend going in November! It was quiet and we got spoiled at the lodges. And all the animals were there just for us! It was a wonderful trip.
