My wife and I recently wrapped up an absolute dream honeymoon of a 5-day safari with Bavuma WildQuest across Kenya and Tanzania, and it exceeded every expectation. From start to finish, the entire journey was seamless, beautifully organized, and packed with incredible wildlife moments.
Flawless Travel & Logistics
The team handled every single transition flawlessly. Booking domestic flights from Wilson into the Masai Mara and over to the Serengeti saved us hours of rough driving and allowed us to maximize our time on game drives. Our private 4x4 Land Cruiser was comfortable, pristine, and perfectly set up for viewing and photographing wildlife from the pop-up roof.
Outstanding Accommodations & Hospitality
Both Little Zebra River Camp and Pori Pori Camp provided the perfect balance of authentic bush living and incredible comfort. The tented setups were stunning, the food was delicious at every meal, and the hospitality from the staff was warm and attentive throughout. They even surprised us with a complimentary honeymoon package and a wonderful sundowner setup in the Serengeti—watching the sun drop over the plains with a cold drink in hand was pure magic.

Unforgettable safari: incredible wildlife, breathtaking moments and flawless organization
Our safari with Bavuma was an absolutely unforgettable experience. We saw an incredible variety of wildlife, often witnessing animals in action rather than simply observing them from a distance.
One of the highlights was seeing the Great Migration, including wildebeest crossing the Mara River. We also watched a cheetah chase wildebeest and feed on its kill, lions and cubs attacking and feeding on buffalo, and had two amazing leopard sightings. We saw families of elephants and giraffes with their babies, as well as hippos, crocodiles, zebras, antelopes and warthogs. Every day brought something extraordinary.
Safety was handled exceptionally well, with great respect both for the people and for the animals. Before the trip, I was a little anxious about staying in tented camps, but everything was so well managed that I quickly felt completely safe and comfortable.
The organization was also outstanding. Joshua is exactly the kind of partner everyone would love to have when planning a trip like this: caring, reliable, punctual and genuinely interested in making the experience perfect. Whenever I texted him, for any reason, he replied on average within five minutes, day or night!
We have already recommended Bavuma to several friends, and we would absolutely recommend a safari with them to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure

Excellent! The service and attention we received from the very first contact regarding trip planning were outstanding. Joshua helped us create an itinerary tailored to our expectations, allowing us to complete the full circuit covering Masai Mara (Kenya), Serengeti (Tanzania), and Ngorongoro (Tanzania). Joshua is highly professional, courteous, and, above all, very honest. We encountered one minor issue at our final accommodation, but Joshua stepped in personally to resolve it immediately. A truly professional and honest individual. We requested private transport and luxury hotels, and the experience was excellent. We had two guide-and-driver teams—one in Kenya and one in Tanzania. Although young, they were all deeply committed and personable, turning a long journey into a wonderful experience. My recommendation to anyone contacting Joshua and Bavuma is to ensure the entire plan is agreed upon and confirmed upfront; in our case, he prepared a detailed, day-by-day itinerary covering the full eight days of the trip. It included everything: airport transfers upon arrival in Kenya, a light aircraft flight to our first stop in Masai Mara, luxury accommodation, transport, meals, safari drives, and a hot air balloon ride. The service was excellent. The Tanzania team, in particular—Esteban (guide) and Barack (driver)—was delightful; they were highly professional, punctual, and friendly. We had evaluated many agencies while planning our trip, but it was often difficult to get a response, secure good pricing, or find someone willing to accommodate all our requests—yet Joshua delivered on everything. An unforgettable family safari - Bavuma Wild Quest nailed it!
We just wrapped up an unforgettable family safari with Bavuma Wild Quest, and honestly, they were incredible from start to finish.
Right from the planning stage, they were super organised and tailored the whole itinerary to fit our family's needs. Their communication was great too; always quick to reply and follow up on everything.
The actual trip completely blew us away. Our driver and guide, Isaack, was amazing. He drove us safely from Arusha to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro, and he was so patient and flexible with us the entire time. The best part? He’s basically a walking dictionary when it comes to wildlife. He knew everything! His personal touch made the whole experience so much better.
To top it all off, when we got back to Arusha, Joshua came to see us in person just to check how everything went.

Payment for the Safari was handled by a wire transfer, and that is one of the things we would have preferred to be different. I would have appreciated earning mileage or points on my card instead of transferring funds. We were able to use a secure link for the balloon
safar and earn points. The cost of the adventure, however, was reasonable for the experience of visiting Masa Mara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Our Kenyan portion of the trip was without vehicle issues, but we did have a couple of maintenance issues that were resolved on the Tanzania segment. Overall we were satisfied with the experience and would use this company again.
