Professional
The idea of doing a safari came to us the day before we could actually go. We contacted gecko and within a few hours they arranged everything. Very fast responds and professional service.
The safari was a great three days experience with an excellent guide.

Perfect amd very well organized
Rama organised everything very well we spoke with him when landing and was on trasfer to hotel and kept in contact at differant point of the holiday checking everything was going to plan. Juma who picked us up from airport and when we arrived back at port was very helpful and ensure we had everything we needed. Henry our tour guid for the safari was fab he knew everything about the area very informative and took us to a local village after the safari we was made to feel very welcome in the local bar. The safari was amazing we was saw most of the big 5 apart from the lion henry did very well to spot the animals hiding away the elephants was amazing we saw about 16 all at the same time includinf 3 babies. Will be using rama again wheb we book our next trip to tanzania. The loop hotel booked in zanzibar was amazing the staff was always happy and anything needed wasnt to much hard work.

Amazing experience and great price.
Since I was on a budget, I tried to find a cheaper safari and lowered my expectations a bit. This experience surpassed my expectations of a safari and will probably be one of the more memorable experiences of my life. I did a three day safari in Selous. Otto and Antony picked us up in Dar es Salaam and drove us 7 hours to Selous. The safari costed 400USD and included our transport to and from Selous, food, stay, and park fees. The food was really good, and we stayed in a treehouse over looking the beautiful Rufiji river. I woke up to the sound of hippos playing outside my deck. The guides were so kind and accommodating. People kinda talked down about Selous because it’s such a huge reserve, but I saw a wide variety of animals and particularly enjoyed the river cruise. All in all, a great experience and I would absolutely recommend Otto and Gecko Adventure to anyone looking for a great safari for a good price.

4 Days safari Remote Selous Game Reserve
We got 4 wonderful safari days, that Gecko organized in The Selous. They planned a trip according all our wishes. When I specified our wishes they always responded immediately. Safari started, when our guide picked us from the airport He was solely for us. The safari was very flexible and we were able to take pictures of animals and nature for as long as we always wanted. The guide was very knowledgeable. We had one walking safari, one all-day car safari,half day car safari and half day boat safari. This was a good combination and I can recommend it. So Safari did not become too heavy and we enjoyed all the activities. Trip length was very good, shouldn't be shorter.
If you want to get reliable and responsible tour operator, we recommend the Gecko Adventures

Amazing experience start to finish
My husband and I used Gecko Adventure Tanzania for a private safari in Mikumi Park and have had a brilliant experience! They have been prompt and friendly in responding to my (many) enquirers and have proactively suggested many options to personalize our safari to best suite our needs.
We were picked up on time by a highly experienced and professional guide who took interest in what we were most interested in and tailored our tour. My husband really wanted to see lions and despite his efforts to find them they were hiding during the days but our guide Msafiri made calls throughout the day to some of the local guides and rangers and found a number of lions for us to see!
I highly recommend the company and would happily use them again in the future!

Reliable company
We were very satisfied with the service, and we felt that the company cares about the details. The communication before and during traveling was excellent. The entire trip was very well organized, and it was a good value for the money. I didn't feel ripped off, I got exactly the same service I requested.
Just one comment: However our guide was a very knowledgeable guy, he didn't share too much information on his own, unless we asked him to do so (then he went into the details, and explained many things).
I would definitely chose this company again.

Everything was great from the booking request to the end of the safari.
Rama was very helpful and the driver/guide as well.
The hotel was amazing and mikumi park is great not too crowded.

Amazing fauna and flora discover
Safari tour was very well organized.
Our driver Samir was also a very good guide, always trying to find animals, even when they were totally hidden. Lions , elephants were really closed of the car.
I recommend Gecko/Samir.

We went to 2-days Selous safari with Gecko (from Zanzibar). Everything was great! Excellent service, much better than we could expect (even when we found out it's a real problem to print the booking with flight tickets in Zanzibar - asked Rama and they printed everything for us and brought us with the pick up to the hotel; when we came back, and it was really hot, the transfer to the hotel waited for us with wet towels for refreshment; really outstanding service!). Everything was fixed and well organized, had not even one issue with anything. Thank you very very much! From our experience - you are the best in Tanzania!!!:)
