Flexible for a family of five
5/5

Thank you for organizing and hosting is.
Accomodation was luxerious for a fair price. And the contact to Jonyo for the booking took great considerence to our work hours before booking.
The guide Reginald was humble, nice and when you have 3 days together you will have to adapt quick to us as a big family.
We got tons of video and pictures.
It will sink in our minds for a life time.

Outstanding Experience with Ecolife Tours and Safaris
5/5

I am so happy that I chose Eco Life Safaris for my safari in Tanzania. Since they are a small company and didn't have many reviews, I was a bit worried at first. However, as soon as I started speaking with Jonyo—who is an extremely kind person—my fears quickly vanished. They are not a very large company, but they are growing, and they do things very well.

Now that I’m back home, I can say I’m thrilled with my decision. I had wonderful days. Jonyo is a fantastic person, and Domi is a great driver; I honestly don't think any other company could have offered me a better experience.

I would highly recommend this company to anyone who asks.

Amazing Experience
5/5

Just returned from their 3 day Safari 2nd March 2026.

Truly Amazing.

I booked from Zanzibar and back. Door to door from hotel.

Having received multiple quotes, EcoLife was the only company to challenge / suggest a better Safari because of the current migration, which was refreshing, as hadn’t thought of certain things to do with flights direct into the heart of the Serengeti (not wasting time driving from Arusha) and locations.

Their logistics and operation ran entirely like clockwork.

They went and got the lodges I asked for even though, now upon reflection, were hugely out of the way from the main safari route and never once let me know this.

It’s a small company opened in early 2025 and the people who run it are long time experts with a deep history in Safari / animals, they care very much about you, so it’s bespoke entirely to since they’re small, do not treat you like a number.

Domi the guide found all the big 5 with ease. Apprently it’s quite hard to do, I didn’t realise that seeing a leopard just hanging from a tree is not actually normal :)

If you’re here reading this it’s because you’re considering them and I stress just do it, the owner has got you, will improve your experience by considering the time of year and where the animals will actually be making you feel like a VIP when meeting others following the normal route while you’re out there filming animals no one else got to see.

Ndutu in particular for the win. It’s was just unbelievable

Thank you EcoLife from my heart, I miss the animals so much and being with Domi just trucking around living to the heartbeat of the plains, it was amazing.

Thank you Jonyo and Domi for all the driving, the itinerary, the care and the animals.

Extremely helpful organising and arranging splendid safari tours
5/5

I requested a last moment 4day Ndutu tour for an very experienced solo safari addict .
Eco Life Safaris came quickly with questions and later an arrangement which completed my wishes .
AT the airport I was welcomed and day later the tour was started with guide Domi …who did his ultimate best to
help me and support me in anyway during the later extended tour from not only Ndutu but also to Serengeti NP .
The tour was beyond expectations in wildlife experience as in lodge selection .
The spectacular views in both areas where so impactful that I really want to come back for more.
I did select this park for the abundant Cheetah population and thanks to the guide Domi the park did not let me down ….!
Of coarse you have to use your eyes yourself constantly to get the requested results …. So effort is highly required.

Domi for the win
5/5

We did a 3-day Serengeti safari with Eco Life Safaris and Tours and had a really great experience. Everything was well organised and ran smoothly, which made the whole trip easy and enjoyable.
We managed to see all of the Big Five plus plenty of other animals, which was pretty special. Our guide, Domi, was a standout—super easygoing, knowledgeable, and happy to adjust things to suit what we wanted to do.
You can tell they’re a newer company as they really put in the effort and go the extra mile for you.
Highly recommended. Just do one at least one of these Safaris in your life time, you will never regret it.

An unforgettable safari experience with an outstanding guide
5/5

We had an absolutely incredible safari experience and cannot recommend this company highly enough.

From the very beginning, everything was organized professionally and communication was excellent. The entire trip ran smoothly, allowing us to focus on enjoying the experience rather than worrying about logistics.

The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly our guide, Simon. We saw far more wildlife than we ever expected, and that was largely thanks to his expertise, dedication, and knowledge of the parks. Whenever information about a sighting came over the radio, Simon seemed to know exactly where to go and how to position us for the best possible viewing opportunities. His understanding of animal behaviour, the park layouts, and the surrounding environment was truly impressive.

What set Simon apart even further was the depth of knowledge he shared throughout the safari. Thanks to his educational background and hiking experience, every game drive became an opportunity to learn. He was always happy to answer questions and explain not only what we were seeing, but also the wider ecosystem, animal behaviour, and conservation efforts.

Beyond being an exceptional guide, Simon was simply a great person to spend time with. He was professional, friendly, enthusiastic, and genuinely passionate about what he does. His enthusiasm was infectious and played a huge role in making this such a memorable trip.

Thanks to Simon and the team, we experienced countless unforgettable wildlife sightings and created memories that will last a lifetime. If you're considering a safari, we would wholeheartedly recommend booking with them and, if possible, requesting Simon as your guide.

Thank you again for an amazing experience.

Well-organised and beyond expectations!
5/5

It was a bit of a headache looking through the long list of operators but I eventually emailed a few to get some quotations. As a frequent traveller who can work out a 1-month itinerary easily in 2 weeks, the first thing I appreciated was the speed of response from Jonyo. I was able to nail down everything with him swiftly while he also made adjustments/recommendations based on my preferences. When the final quotation came and I made the deposit, other operators were still engaging me on an on-off basis.
Second was the competitive quotes. I spent 18 days in Tanzania going up Killimanjaro (7D Lemosho route), doing a 5D safari in Serengeti before chilling out at Zanzibar. For this holiday, I was generally looking at a mid-range budget and I thought the prices quoted for a Kili private guide and safari were very competitive with respect to the other quotes I received, including budget and luxury options. From the quotation, all the accomodations look decent (we are particular about that) and in reality they were above our expectations which we were pleasantly surprised and definitely impressed!
Ecolife was also able to accomodate my request to specifically stay at Manta Resort on Pemba Island while at Zanzibar and helped to reach out to the resort to make necessary arrangements. Initially I tried to contact Manta Resort myself but it was taking too long to respond via email and, while Ecolife was able to settle everything quickly presumbly with phone call etc. In the end I decided to let Ecolife sort out my entire itinerary in Tanzania including the internal flights. I was glad I did that because when Flightlink temporarily suspended their flight to Pemba, Jonyo immediately made the adjustment and booked us on another flight so that our itinerary was not affected.

Pre-trip and throughout the trip, there was clear communiation and quick replies were given when clarifications were needed while on trip. When I highlighted that I was interested to see a potential crossing of the wildebeest at Gurmeti River, our base camp for the safari was in Western Serengeti, notably closer to where the wildebeests were starting to gather. Although we did not manage to see any crossing in June (it was a slim hope anyway) but the thoughtfulness in the planning of our route was evident.

Lastly, they got us good guides for different segments of our trip.
For Mount Kilimanjaro we had Rumi who paced us well and on assessing us on a daily basis, he challenged us to scale Kili in 6D instead of our intended 7D. He had confidence in us and we did it! On hindsight, that also gave us a much needed extra day of break before our safari. Rumi is also well-trained with good knowledge in medication and emergency, which was important to us because my friend had HAPE last year when scaling Everest Base Camp. We felt assured with him.
For Safari we had Simon. Simon has very sharp eyes, able to spot the animals out of nowhere. He was the reason we complete our Top 5 with the Rhino in Ngorogoro crater. He guided us to the black specks in a distance and we could only make out the rhino with the binoculars. Lastly, I enjoyed listening to him sharing the interesting background information about the areas we were visiting and also of the animals. This goes beyond animal spotting and I appreciated that.

I am typically an independent traveller who likes to have a hand in planning my itinerary. But Ecolife did a good job in working out the itinerary based on my goals and provided a reliable service that I could turn to while on trip.
