Excellent safaris
5/5

We chose the 9-day Kenya-Tanzania safari tour. It was enough to see the Big Five and more. Everything was organized clearly and according to the itinerary. The safari jeep drivers were great. We also enjoyed our camping in Tanzania. We knew the basic accommodations included shared showers and toilets, but everything was clean and there was hot water. Thank you for everything.

Great adventure with Pedaso Safaris

Great adventure with Pedaso Safaris, extraordinary encounters in both Kenya and Tanzania. Smooth communication before, during and even after the tour. Good value for money (budget tour).

It was an incredible experience.

My safari experience was simply spectacular. Seeing wildlife up close in its natural habitat was magical: lions, elephants, giraffes… every moment exceeded my expectations. David's organization was excellent, the guides very professional, and the itinerary perfectly planned. Without a doubt, an unforgettable adventure that I recommend to anyone seeking nature and excitement.

The safari was amazing thanks to David and all his fantastic staff.
5/5

We completed a 9D 8N safari from Kenya to Tanzania and the whole safari was exceptional. The food exceeded our expectations and anll our tour guides and the staff at our accomodation each night were so welcoming and friendly. David regularly checked in with us and made sure we were happy and enjoying the best safari possible! Deo is David’s main contact in Tanzania who helped us tremendously and personally ensured we were well looked after. We saw an amazing range of animals including a rare black rhino thanks to the hard work of our guide in the Masai Mara. The cars were comfortable and allowed you to get up close to the animals and peer out the roof. Thank you so much David :)

Going above and beyond to ensure we were looked after, comfortable and safe.

The safari experience was something I will never forget. David was an amazing tour operator, we came across a few issues and David gave us so much of his time ensuring we were okay. Both my girlfriend and I are extremely grateful.

The animals are great, people are nice, tours are ok

The only advantage of an all-inclusive tour group is that you don't have to arrange everything yourself, but that’s the only good.
As an average daily itinerary of 200usd, with buses still being used between cities, the hotel in Nairobi is very old and dirty. This is obviously not worth it at all.
And almost every day, people in the car were changing. They try to fill the entire vehicle as much as possible. So you need to wait sometimes.
The worst part is that the plan is fixed. Even if there are no animals in this place at this season, we still can't change anything.
Although traveling independently in Kenya is not that easy, I would definitely choose to travel independently next time.

Dear Turkey,

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for taking the time to write about your experience. We’re truly sorry to hear that the tour did not fully meet your expectations.

Please note that for our budget group joining safaris, accommodations in Nairobi are not included in the package — clients usually arrange their own hotels before and after the safari. We are happy to assist with recommendations upon request.

Regarding transportation between Kenya and Tanzania, all budget group safaris use shared shuttle services. This helps keep costs affordable for travelers who wish to experience a safari at a lower price point, though it may sometimes require waiting for all participants to board.

As for the fixed itinerary, group joining safaris follow a pre-set schedule agreed upon by all participants and partner lodges, which unfortunately limits flexibility in changing destinations on short notice.

We truly value your input and will continue working to improve the overall experience for our guests. We hope to have another opportunity to serve you in the future — perhaps on a more flexible private safari, where the itinerary and pace can be fully customized to your preferences.

Warm regards,
Operations Manager – Pedaso Safaris

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Perfect Safari Experience!
5/5

We had an incredible 7-day safari tour through Nakuru National Park, Masai Mara, Amboseli, and the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania — and it truly exceeded all our expectations! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized.

Our coordinator, David, and our Guide Bonji, were absolutely amazing. David was always available, made sure every detail was taken care of, and ensured that we felt safe, comfortable, and well-informed throughout the entire trip. Bonji‘s passion, knowledge, and warm personality made the experience even more special.

The accommodations, transportation, and itinerary were all top-notch. We saw an incredible variety of wildlife — lions, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, and so much more — and every day felt like a new adventure.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend this safari company to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable journey through Kenya and Tanzania. Thank you, David and Bonji, for making our dream safari come true! 🦁🌅🦓

I booked my safari tour with this company. Even before the trip, I discussed with the manager to coordinate my flight tickets and schedule so that everything would fit well.

On the first day, our car broke down and we had to wait for over an hour in the middle of the road. After finally completing the game drive, we arrived at the lodge only to find out it was overbooked — four of us had no room and had to be moved elsewhere. When I asked the manager, he said he heard anything. Dinner and breakfast were not going to be provided either, so we had to argue just to get them.

The next morning, instead of resting at the same place for another night, we had to pack all our luggage again and move back to the originally scheduled lodge. The day after that, we were told our accommodation had changed again due to some “unexpected” issue.

The following day, we thought we were heading to the campsite where we were supposed to stay for two nights. But one of the group members asked the guide if we were really going there — and only then did we find out it had been changed again. The driver didn’t even bother to tell us until we asked. The manager who I've been talking to didn’t even know the situation again. Everyone had to complain to their respective managers before we were finally allowed to go to the place we had been originally told about.

When we arrived, there was yet another overbooking issue — instead of the double rooms we were promised, we were placed in 6-bed rooms, and non-couples were told to share. When I asked the manager, once again he had no idea about the situation and just said, “At least you’re not sharing your bed”

On the day we were supposed to cross into Tanzania, there was no game drive. The car broke down again, so we had to wait on the roadside for a long time and then transfer to another vehicle. After crossing the border, we waited for several more hours before finally getting on the bus. When we arrived at the hotel, my name wasn’t even on the reservation list — I was told there was no room and had to stay separately from the rest of the group. We arrived later than expected so I couldn't go to the market for shopping bc it was already almost closed after check-in.

The next morning, I was told to meet at 6:30 a.m. to join another group for the Tanzania safari. The bus only arrived after 8 a.m., and I waited more than two hours before finally departing around 10:30 a.m. We had to pick up other people along the way, which caused even more delays. When we finally reached Serengeti, I thought we would start our game drive — but the car broke down again, and we ended up waiting in the rain for over two hours at the park entrance. We didn’t do any game drive that day.

The driver promised to make it up to us by starting early the next morning at 6:30, but he only showed up after 8:30 a.m. Because of that, we were the last to leave and had much less time for game driving, even though Serengeti park fees are extremely expensive.

The following day was the same — we were ready on time, but the driver came hours late again so we departed late again. The campsite was cold, the tent zipper was broken, cold wind blew all night, and I eventually caught a cold.

On the last day, we were supposed to do a game drive in Ngorongoro Crater and then head to the airport for my flight. The driver arrived late again. As soon as I saw him, I told him about my flight time and location, and he said he was aware. After dropping off another person and stopping somewhere for lunch, we started driving toward Arusha, but it was getting late. I kept reminding the driver and the manager that my time was tight. The manager reassured me that as long as I had checked in online, I would be fine.

However, after dropping others off in Arusha, they transferred me to a different car — and that new driver told me I wouldn’t make it to the airport in time! I was shocked and begged him to hurry, but he didn’t drive any faster. Despite my prior warnings that I would likely be late, the manager only told the driver to speed up at that point.
We arrived at the airport only after my plane had already departed. I had to change flight with my own money. While waiting, another guide came ti help and after listening to the situation, he promised I would get a full refund for the missed flight. I also saw him talking through the phone with the “assistant” of the manager in front of me even though I couldn't understand their language. The manager also told me via WhatsApp that he would help me get compensation. I had no choice but to believe them at the time. Because of this delay, I also had to rebook my next connecting flight.

The next day, the manager suddenly changed his words and said he could only offer a small partial refund, claiming he knew nothing about the conversation from the day before. Later he insisted it wasn’t his fault because transportation wasn’t under his control and offered only $30 “as a gift” — which he never even sent. Keep in mind, he was the one who helped arrange my outbound flight from Tanzania in the first place!

As everyone knows, safari tours are not cheap. People spend a lot of money and travel all the way here to see wildlife, but the lack of organization, constant car breakdowns, and endless time wasted picking up and dropping off other guests meant our actual game drive time was far too short.

Most disappointing of all was the whole process that led to me missing my flight, which completely ruined my following plans and cost me much more money — and the way they handled the situation afterward was utterly unprofessional.

I strongly recommend that anyone planning a safari choose a more established and reputable company. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

Dear Dudgk,

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed account of your experience. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your safari did not meet the expectations you had. At Pedaso Safaris, we take all feedback seriously, as it helps us identify areas for improvement and continue refining the quality of our operations.

That said, we would like to provide some clarification for the benefit of future travelers reading this. Your tour was booked as a budget group safari package — a shared program coordinated among several partner operators. While this model allows guests to enjoy an affordable safari experience, it can sometimes involve shared logistics such as group transfers, mixed lodges, and coordination among multiple operators. These dynamics can occasionally lead to last-minute changes beyond our direct control (for example, accommodation overbookings or vehicle substitutions). Nevertheless, our team always does its best to communicate updates promptly and to minimize any disruption to guests’ comfort or experience.

Regarding the vehicle mechanical issues you mentioned, our fleet undergoes regular maintenance, but in rare cases, the demanding road conditions in remote safari areas can cause unexpected breakdowns. We sincerely regret that this happened during your trip. In each case, our team acted immediately to provide replacements and ensure your itinerary continued.

As for the flight connection concern, our records show that our operations team worked closely with you to arrange and monitor your travel schedule. While we regret the unfortunate missed connection, transportation delays on shared group safaris — especially those involving cross-border coordination between Kenya and Tanzania — can sometimes be affected by factors such as road conditions, border traffic, or unforeseen park delays. Even so, our staff remained in contact with you throughout and offered support to the best of our ability under the circumstances.

We truly regret that these issues overshadowed what should have been a memorable wildlife experience. The vast majority of our guests complete their tours successfully and leave excellent reviews about the professionalism of our guides, vehicles, and overall organization. We recognize, however, that no safari is without challenges, and we continuously work to ensure smoother communication and coordination across all departments.

We sincerely appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best in your future travels.

Warm regards,
Operations Manager – Pedaso Safaris

Pedaso safaris is a good company, responsive and they try to help as much as they can
4/5

I booked a 9 days budget safari kenya+tanzania the last week of September. David replied every question I asked before booking. He was very responsive and offered his help for everything. I am very grateful but after doing the trip, I feel like he promised more than what he could afford to promise. Therefore, you need to watch out for yourself. This was regarding the back-office support. Regarding the trip: during the safari, you are on your own. The drivers will not help you and the tour operator cannot reach them (or at least in my case my drivers were never aware of the things David said he told them). The drivers and tour operator will always make sure you arrive to your destination, but that's it.
And you will really feel that this is a budget travel. In Kenya, in the car condition and the driver expertise. In Tanzania, in the accommodation. My personal advise is to not book Kenya+Tanzania; choose 1 country and do not cross the border.
Another fact is that the drivers do not follow the rules of the reserves, they drive fast and approach the animals extremely close, disturbing them. I saw sad situations in all the reserves, so if you are concerned about animal welfare, you should not do a safari at all. All the cars behave the same way.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re happy you found our team responsive and supportive. At Pedaso Safaris, we take wildlife respect, guest safety, and transparency very seriously. Our guides are trained to follow park rules, and our packages may differ depending on itinerary and inclusions, which explains differences between travelers.

Being a group joining safari, it's industry practice that we combine Travelers with other tour agencies to make the safari possible since its a group safari and not a private one. The claims that you were all alone are close to false since our guides were present to your requests and even showed great concern when you injured yourself during the safari even with their long hours of driving and animal sighting, they still created time for you to make sure you were doing well when needed.

We are aware of the promise you are referring to is the Wildebeest migration, which we informed you prior to the safari and even during the onset that it was a possibility since it all depends on nature, our drivers made sure to roam around the Mara river to try any luck but unfortunately it wasn't the lucky day on your travel day to spot the migration. This is unfortunate that you put the blame on us while we have no control at all on how nature acts or responds on a given day.

We’re sorry this experience did not meet your expectations, but we appreciate your recognition of our efforts. We’ll keep working hard to provide memorable and responsible safaris for all our guests.

Warm regards,
Pedaso Safaris
