Wonderful honeymoon experience with perfect customer service and attention to detail
5/5

My wife and I used East Africa Safari Tours and had the absolute best time. We're from the US and we were worried about communication but the team has US and Rwanda presence which made for fast response times to all of our questions and concerns. The team on the ground is exceptional, timely, and hospitable.

We did 2 days gorillas and 1 day monkeys. our second day of doing gorillas was better than our first so I am VERY happy we tacked on another day. It is true that the different families have different personalities.

Thanks again to Anna , Bora, ad Gerrard's hospitality.

Gerard was kind, informative, and reliable.

Gerard was our guide on this wonderful tour. He picked us up very early in the morning from Rwanda and drove us to Uganda to see the gorillas same day. He provided extremely comfortable neck pillows and we were able to sleep in the car nearly the entire drive. He was extremely reliable, had great communication, and was extremely knowledgeable about history of Rwanda. He was open to talking to us about everything we asked. The gorilla tour itself was wonderful. We were in a small group (about 6 of us total) with 2 guides. There was a group of trekkers from the company who went ahead of us to find where the gorillas would be so to make an easier time for us. Once we arrived with the gorillas, there were 4 professional trekkers there. We felt extremely safe as the staff was knowledgeable and seasoned. Overall, we trekked about 1-1.5 hours to find the gorillas, spend 1 hour with them, and hiked 1 hour back. Gerard was so amazing that he was flexible planning whatever we wanted to do. We drove through the towns in Uganda and Rwanda while learning about the history from him. We were particularly interested in visiting the Rwandan genocide Museum, which Gerard was able to make happen for us before closing. He even added a few extra stops to show us important historical sites throughout the city. The visa situation (coming from USA) was a breeze, as Gerard and Anna had prepared us for everything before hand, and it barely took any time to cross the border. Overall, I could not recommend this company more. The entire staff was extremely responsive, reliable, knowledgeable, and showed us a wonderful and very safe time. We are so grateful and would highly recommend the service!

Incredible attention to detail, prompt communication, and willingness to go above and beyond.
5/5

Our experience in Rwanda was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks entirely to our East Africa Safari Tours. From the moment that Anna and Gerard greeted us at the airport, we knew we were in the best hands. EAST handled every detail with professionalism, warmth, and genuine care, allowing us to simply enjoy the beauty and culture of this remarkable country.

EAST organized two unforgettable gorilla treks and a golden monkey trek in Volcanoes National Park—each one flawlessly coordinated and deeply moving. EAST's knowledge of the parks, wildlife, and local conservation efforts added so much meaning to every moment.

Our time in Akagera National Park was equally impressive. EAST arranged two fantastic game drives, where we saw an incredible variety of wildlife and learned so much about the park’s restoration and ecology. Gerard's sharp eye identified animals for us and his expertise made the experience both exciting and educational.

Beyond the parks, Anna took us to the Kigali Genocide Memorial and helped us to understand this difficult chapter in Rwanda's history. Gerard also took us to the Dian Fossey Gorilla Center, and a wonderful cultural center, each visit thoughtfully planned and deeply impactful.

What truly set EAST apart was how seamlessly they managed all hotels and meals throughout the trip. Every accommodation was excellent, every meal delicious, and every transition effortless. We never had to worry about a thing.

This was more than a tour—it was a beautifully curated journey organized by Anna who clearly loves her country and takes immense pride in sharing it with others. I cannot recommend EAST highly enough. If you’re planning a trip to Rwanda, do yourself a favor and book with EAST. They can customize your visit and desired activities. You will not be disappointed. It will be the experience of a lifetime.
