I just finished a month long trip through East Africa and went on many safaris. Shafino was the most knowledgeable and experienced guide I had. Spotting animals nobody would see and sharing with us a depth of knowledge. But it doesn’t stop there - Shafino is also a great host - provided my group a full lunch (with drinks) and really took care of us. He worked hard to give us a personalized great experience and we saw more animals than we thought possible.

I went on safari to Tarangire with Shafino Wildlife Safaris together with five friends, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. We started the day early so we would be ahead of the other tour companies. Shafino is incredibly friendly and made us feel comfortable right away. He genuinely took the time to get to know us, and even in the jeep he shared interesting facts while engaging and interacting with us. He took care of a delicious lunch with a wide selection of drinks, all enjoyed while overlooking the stunning views of Tarangire.
From the moment we entered the park, it was clear that Shafino is an expert in his field. His knowledge of wildlife, nature, and animal behavior is incredible and he took us to the most special parts of the park that most others don’t get to see, where it genuinely felt like we were part of nature rather than just visitors. We saw so many animals, and he’s amazing at spotting them from a distance. He took his time, often stopping to explain the environment and share interesting facts. Whenever we had a question, he didn’t just give a short answer but really explained it to us. I can see how passionate he is about his job which is why I learned so much from him and felt super safe and well taken care of throughout the entire trip. I had a really amazing one-day safari with Shafino.
The day started with Shafino picking us up directly from our hostel, and from that moment everything felt easy and well organised.
Shafino made the whole experience special from start to finish. He knows the park like the back of his hand and has a deep knowledge of both animals and plants, which he shared in a calm and engaging way. His experience and passion really showed and made the day feel very personal.
We saw a lot of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras and buffalo, and we always had time to stop and enjoy each sighting. Lunch was fantastic, with great food, good wine and very good coffee from a French press. The car was well stocked with cold water, sodas and beers, which made the day very comfortable.
Overall, it was a warm and memorable experience and great value for money. I would highly recommend Shafino Wildlife Safaris to anyone looking for a genuine and well-organised safari in Tanzania.

What an amazing day!
Wow! Shafino wildlife Safaris were amazing. Our guides were brilliant, telling us stories and details along the way about baobab trees, zebras, wilderbeast, termites, lions and much more. Giving us insights into the lives of the animals. The service that they provided was exceptional making our day and planning smooth, providing delicious hot lunch and going above and beyond to make our experience memorable! The guides knew all of the best spots allowing us to be less than 2 metres away from sleeping lions, amongst the middle of a herd of elephants and obtain close sighting of hyenas playing in the water. I could not have asked for a better experience. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to have a stand out safari!

We had a wonderful trip with Shafino, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice! This was truly an incredible adventure, far beyond anything we ever imagined.
In just two days, we were lucky enough to see the Big Nine: lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, giraffes, hippos, and even crocodiles. It still feels unbelievable that we saw four cheetahs, including a mother with her baby, four prides of lions, and five rhinos. The elephants walked so close to our car that it felt like we could almost reach out and touch them. Every moment was pure magic.
Shafino is a true professional. He has an extraordinary ability to track animals, and he always knew exactly where to go for the most breathtaking views and unforgettable encounters. His passion and knowledge made the whole experience even more special!!

We had an unforgettable safari tour in Tanzania, visiting several wildlife reserves and the Serengeti National Park. Our tour was a complete success thanks to our experienced driver-guide, Shafino. The most knowledgeable guide imaginable
Sharing is great! He is very knowledgeable about all the fauna and flora in Northern Tanzania and we have yet to ask him about something that he couldn’t answer. He also knows a good amount about the geology and soil!
Thanks to Shafino we got up close with almost all of the big 9! We were able to get within a few meters of all the key animals in northern Tanzania , no binoculars required. We have so far had 3 Cheetah encounters (8 cheetahs total) 2 leopards male and female (including one in the grass) and multiple male and female lion encounters!
Shafino knows Northern Tanzania’s wildlife like the back of his hand and I have no doubt that he is the most knowledgeable guide in all of Tanzania.

BEST GUIDE IN AFRICA
Shafino was the absolute BEST! You will not want anyone else to show you the amazing wildlife Tanzania has to offer. He is knowledgeable and fun to be around. Our trip was a success because Shafino was so attentive and made sure we saw the animals we wanted.
His skill and knowledge of the national parks meant he knew where to find animals on all our game drives. We would definitely book again with him.

Wonderful Safari experience with Shafino
We came as a family of 4 to Tanzania for the wildlife Safari. Shafino wildlife Safari has done an amazing job, given us a lifetime of memory. Shafino who is our tour guide, he is very reliable , very punctual and always happy to answer all questions. He has extensive knowledge about the wildlife , birds and plants in the national park. We learned so much about the animals from this tour. We saw so many animals from zebras, giraffes, elephants cheetah lions, hippos buffaloes hyenas and leopards , ostriches, secretary birds, eagles, and various species. and so on. The service, the food and accommodations are worth every dollar we spend. Highly recommend to go with Shafino Wildlife Safari if you decide to come to Tanzania.

Shafino Made Our Tanzanian Safari Special and Unforgettable!
I cannot recommend Shafino highly enough as he took us on a once-in-a-lifetime safari through the Serengeti, Tarangire, and Ngorongoro, enabled by his expertise and dedication!
Shafino's knowledge of the animals and their behavior is outstanding. He shared stories from his experiences, answered all our questions, and taught us a lot. He’s an expert in the local terrain, has an excellent sense of direction, and knows exactly where to find the animals. He even knew specific prides and groups of lions, which gave us special insight into the animals we saw.
In just 2-3 days, we saw 8 of the big 9! Some special moments that showcase Shafino’s commitment: getting us very close to water buffalo, finding not one but two leopards in a single day, and going out of his way to position us perfectly to see a magnificent male lion on a rock during the Serengeti sunset.
Beyond his wildlife knowledge, Shafino was very thoughtful and considerate. For example, he always opened doors for us, closed his window when other vehicles passed to prevent dust from entering ours, and always ensured we had ample time to take photos without feeling rushed. The vehicle was always in excellent condition, and he was consistently punctual.
We would absolutely hire him again and recommend him to anyone looking for an unforgettable safari adventure.
