Good safari but with problems
3/5

We had 5 day and 4 night safari Tarangire/Serengeti/Ngorongoro with world-tours-safaris. At the beginning the contact with Mr Richard was very fast and clear. We got a lot of information that we need. But the first day of safari was terrible for us. We heard that the other couple who had joined to us did not come on the time. We had one hour late pick up from the hotel, then we started the safari at 11 with minivan (not land cruiser that was in offer). My seat was wet. The minivan had an open roof but without the top-up roof so we had a lot of sun when we open and spend all the time open and close the roof at the safari. No air and very hot in the car because the windows were not openly and were with a lot of scratches and we had not a clear view. Our car was the worst on the safari that day. We were disappointed of this day and Mr Richard told us that we agreed with this and it was private safari when we gave the call to him at the evening - although we did not have any other option. The second day we start our safari with land cruiser and with another one tourist - not that couple. From this day we had a good safari to the end with our guide Aron who was engaged. We saw a lot. But at the end when we were in the office Mr Richard start our conversation from worlds: What was the problem. We were so disappointed. We didn’t heard a word of sorry and any questions about our feedback. The other things from our point of view - be prepare for old tent with not so nice smell and the other equipment’s are old and very used.
We had also not nice case of visit Masaii village and making the picture of this community and not nice the case of tips from the other tourist who was with us. Serengeti was fantastic i would like to be there again but I would like to try with another company.

Avoid this company at all costs
1/5

I recently did a 4-day Safari with World Tours and Safari in the Serengeti and Ngorogoro Crater. It was a once in a lifetime experience that this company continually tried to sabotage. I booked three months in advance to go to Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorogoro. When I arrived in Arusha, the manager Richard changed my itinerary so I never made it to Tarangire. Then, he tried to cut my Safari short by one day so we could drive a separate party to the airport. When confronted after the trip with these complaints, Richard was rude to myself and my family. He never even addressed our concerns as we attempted to talk to him in a calm manner. I later found out he suspended the driver for our trip, who was by far the highlight of the trip and pleasure to be around.

If you are looking to book a safari, just avoid this company. There are plenty of great companies out there operating similar safaris that there is no need to deal with Richard and the hassle of World Tours and Safaris.

Amazing trip with amazing guides
5/5

Had an awesome time with World Tours. The email correspondence right from the first email was always fast and welcoming. Once we arrived to Arusha everything was set up and easily done for us. Mr. Richard was very nice and very helpful. The guide and cook were amazing people. Gadi cooked delicious and plentiful meals while Frank our guide (Frank the Tank) knew all the hotspots and we saw all the animals we could think of. The tents and sleeping arrangements were top notch, it even rained heavily one night and seeing that our tent held up (compared to some other "popular" tour company's tents) was found to have 3 additional people sleep in it!. Would definitely recommend World Tour Safari to anyone who'd want to do a safari.

Fantastic Safari experience!
4/5

We are a family from Sweden with two daugthers (17 and 14 yrs) and went to Arusha for 3 days safari with World Tours& Safaris Tanzania. We visited Tarangire, NgoroNgoro and Maniara and had wonderful days with lot of animals. We stayed at Twiga lodge which was ok but lacking charm, though had A swimmingpool. Our guide Humphrie was nice, skilful and had broad knowlodge about the animals, the people and the culture in Tanzania. Rickard was very helpful and gave us perfect service. We can really recommend this company.

Big Five Up Close!
5/5

My friend and I from Canada went on a 5 day/4 night safari and it was more than I expected! We hit Tarangire, Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater. The driver from KIA was right on time both ways, very reliable. Our tour guide was amazing, he was able to get us in the best positions for viewing all the wildlife. We saw all of the big five and so much more, even caught some of the wildebeest migration. The food was great, something different and delicious each night. Fantastic tour! Highly recommend these guys. Nothing better than a giant elephant crashing your camp at night.

Fantastic Safari
5/5

We (two friends) used World Tours and Safaris in November for a 6 days safari (Tarangire- Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro). Having consulted different websites and reviews, we decided to contact WTS. Richard came quickly back and gave the most economical package according to our demands, exactly as we wanted.
He always responded quickly to our messages and provided clear explanations.
Richard is a trustful man who keeps his word: we supposed to share the safari with two travellers. They did not arrive on time but this fact has not changed our safari program or the price previously agreed.
Our guide Aaron was gentle driver, he had good knowledge of animals and landscape and found always the best places to spot the animals. The food was abundant and delicious thanks to our cook Gady.
We had a fantastic safari and we keep excellent memories thanks to the good organisation and the commitment of the team. THANK YOU!

Great adventure
4/5

The expierence with World Tours & Safaris Tanzania was great. Richard, the manager, is a great guy, he will take care of anyone doing the safari with him and not only during the safarin but also before and after. He always offers as help and advice in everything we asked him.
We made a 5 day Safari starting in Arusha and ending in Mwanza, including lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti National Park. I dont have words to describe how amizing it was. We saw all possible animals (the big five and much more!) even a lion chansing, hunting and eating with her familiy a gnu :)
The food and camping places chosen by the company where perfect. In lake Manyara we could even sleep in the fancy Hotel with pool. We also had the Chance to see and interact with the Massai in one of their villages in Ngorongoro even though it was not on the program.
So, summarising, GREAT recommended experience with World Tours & Safaris Tanzania.

A good budget safari
4/5

I was glad to get hooked up with World Tours and Safaris since I was a single woman traveling alone. Richard was helpful in getting ancillary services arranged, and putting me with a nice group of fellow travelers. We had a wonderful driver and cook, both Aron and Musa did a great job of taking care of us. The safari portion of the trip was so much more than I had expected, I would have to give that section of the trip 5 stars. The physical accoutrements were rudimentary, but that was expected since this was a budget safari. Our only questionable experience was with figuring the tips. All of us wanted to tip our driver and cook well, but felt their expectations were much more than what we were was told was customary. That is not to say they didn't deserve a good, even, generous tip, but most of us had not budgeted an extra $100 for each person in our group, for each of them. Personally, I would rather pay more upfront, and not have the uncomfortable situation arise at the end of the trip, though I realize this is not the typical method of operation in Africa. All in all it was a great trip; we saw lots of animals, had a good time, and didn't get eaten by lions. LOL. Many thanks to Richard, Aron and Musa for making it happen. P.s. Tell Musa carrot sandwiches are not a favorite. HA.

Greetings from World Tours And Safaris Tanzania.
This is a very emotive issue and has been the subject of much discussion on here. My view is, has been and always will be that the tip to the Driver is Per Group/Car and as such driver.
The normal tipping is USD$10pp per day to the driver/guide and USD$10pp per day to the cook. This is what the guides and cook general expect based on a full car of 4 - 5 people. If you really like your Driver Guide and he goes out of his way to be nice and show you a great trip. I would suggest $15 per day for the group, by the way we have no right to force any customer paying tips to my staff when doing Safari or Mountain climbing. If you feel inclined and have the cash you can give them as much as you can. It is your wish and your money. Remember you have already paid for the trip.
