Sharing a safari and the Kili climbing
4/5

I can say that I'm very happy after my experience in Tanzania with World Tours and Safari.
They were very helpful (to the point of lending me some clothes and a thicker sleeping bag up in the mountain), and I felt I was really taken care of. Even my guide invited me for dinner the day after the climbing in Arusha, with his family and some friends.
The safari was amusing, we saw the big 5 amongst many more. The only black point of the trip was that the car broke down at a certain point, so we spent some hours waiting for it to get fixed.

Climbed Kili
4/5

On very short notice World Tours Safari was able to arrange for my trip up Kilimanjaro. Richard was very accommodating and helpful. I had a great hike up (Coca Cola trail) and have since recommended Kili and World Tours Tanzania to my family.

One piece of advice: WTT should be clearer about the appropriate tipping amount up front.

Kilimanjaro via Lemosho and safari to Serengeti and Ngorogoro Crater
4/5

Overall Richard and his staff were reliable, punctual, honest and fun. In business dealings he was very congenial and totally fair and transparent. Their drivers were safe - very important in Tanzania! The guides were knowledgeable, spoke English well and the food was great. The value for money was terrific.

We had some issues with tent zippers that were worn. He promised they were getting new equipment. I would also advise that you pay for them to bring along a Gamow bag (portable compression sac for altitude illness). Could spare you a dodgy descent in the dark and so worth the money (I'm an emergency physician and have witnessed/cared for people with altitude illness, I would not climb without a bag).

Kilmanjaro via Lemosho Route and safari with World Tours and Safaris Tanzania
4/5

We booked our climbing trip and safari from World Tours and Safaris Tanzania last August. All details were smoothly agreed by emails. And almost everything went according to plans.

Kilmanjaro was spectacular. We had booked a seven day trek but it should have been eight days. We both are in our late 60's and they knew it. Perhaps they could have warned us about the tightness of our timetable.

The five day joining safari was marvellous. Lake Manyara was quite empty as expected but Serengeti was full of animals. Finest moment was when we found a sausage tree were three leopards were eating their prey (antelope). Ngorongoro was, as expected, lively. We saw rhino, buffaloes, eland, mating lion, and much much more.

The arrangements were almost perfect and the abundance of animals compensated for few inconveniences in the safari. We had two tire punctures due to worn out tires and secondly the Jeep was overbooked.

Altogether everything went smoothly, we were picked up at Kilimanjaro International Airport when our plane arrived late during night and correspondingly dropped there when we left Tanzania.

Tanzania was amazing, the animals inspiring and Richard was flexible and accomodating - a good trip.
4/5

We were a bit nervous about our trip to Ngorongoro and the Serengeti as it was tacked onto a conference we were attending in Arusha and Olduvai Gorge - Richard was very flexible about this and about waiting for me to finish some interviewing in the Serengeti even though his permit was close to running out and of course, amazing elephants blocked our road out!

I'd advise warm clothes for the Ngorongoro bit as we weren't terribly well prepared but the team were great and we saw more animals than we could have hoped for.

Fantastic Tour - Would Highly Recommend!
5/5

Rickson, the owner of World Tours & Safaris Tanzania, runs a top-notch travel company. He is very professional, easy to communicate with, and friendly. His guides as similarly incredible. My group and I genuinely felt like we were travelling through the Serengeti with family. World Tours & Safaris went above and beyond my expectations. Not a single detail was overlooked and no request was too much to ask for. I would highly recommend booking your adventure with World Tours & Safaris.

World Tours & Safaris - Best choice for Kilimanjaro!
5/5

For my personal Kibo adventure, I chose World Tours and Safaris Tanzania. I don't regret this choice. On my six-day hike to Kibo, I not only got to know breathtakingly beautiful nature, I also made new friends. Together with guide Walter, Luca, my waiter & porter and the porters Yuma, Sakony, Alfon and Josef, I made it to Meyers Cave - a great experience, also and especially because of these friendly, great people! I recommend anyone planning this trip to choose WTST. Richard Rickson, the managing director, is friendly, courteous and reliable. He runs his small business very responsibly and ensures that his porters are treated fairly. If there is an opportunity and you are traveling with WTST, try to get Walter as a guide. When was I traveling? Beginning of November. There is the so-called little rainy season on the mountain, and it actually rained every now and then - but it was empty on the Coca-Cola route - so empty that you were happy to meet someone every now and then. Another tip: don't underestimate altitude sickness. Even if you're fit, if you're not used to the height, it can knock you out relatively quickly. Therefore plan an additional day at Zebra Rock (Marangu route). It's best to start in Arusha (which is already higher than Moshi) and take a day/night there before you head to the mountain. My conclusion: the Kibo adventure was one of the most beautiful and impressive experiences in my 57-year life - not least because of the friendly and helpful staff at World Tours & Safaris Tanzania.
