Magical from start to end
5/5

We heard about Nature Travel Namibia from friends who were very positive about their experience with them, and we are very happy we followed their advice. The whole trip, from the itinerary to the lodges and tented camped to the activities, were absolutely amazing. Petra really hit the spot with choosing the most magical places to stay! Also, the organizatoon was flawless, and when our plane was delayed with 8hrs, Petra immediately supported with making the necessary arrangements, giving us full piece of mind! We definitely recommend Nature Travel, it was truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Highly recommend Nature Travel
5/5

This was our first trip to Africa, and we are beyond happy we selected Nature Travel Namibia. For 10 months, we worked with Nicolette who provided prompt answers to a myriad of questions and guided us to great options. We had never met but we feel that she understand implicitly what we were looking for. We were paired with private guide Joram Matenhese who was absolutely tops! We spent a little over two weeks with him in Namibia and learned so much about nature, the complex cultural and political dynamics between people and animals, and the best places to get coffee and snacks along the way. He is also an amazing expert birder (he knows literally every bird from sight and sound) and knows all the best places and times to see wildlife. It also helped that it seemed like everyone we met in Namibia knows and likes him—from lodge staff to national park gatekeepers to restaurant staff. We felt like VIP traveling with him. Also, we love all natural things—from little to large—and it was a pleasure to be with him reveling in insects, reptiles, mammals, geology, and flora. If we had traveled alone on a self-guided tour, we would have missed so much and been too preoccupied to enjoy the experience. Regarding the lodges, every place we stayed was comfortable, safe, clean, friendly, and well situated within nature. Memorable highlights were hiking Big Daddy, seeing the dunes meet the ocean in Sandwich Harbour, the Living Deserts guided tour of reptiles and insects in Swakopmund, seeing wildlife in Etosha during the dry season, birdwatching in the Caprivi, and taking a helicopter tour of Victoria Falls. We are going to cherish the experience for the rest of our lives, and we are so fortunate to work with this company and be in the great hands of Nicolette and Joram!

Nature Travel Namibia is an excellent tour operative; great communication and organization.
5/5

My husband and I embarked on an incredible journey to Namibia, guided by the expert Wilson and meticulously organized by Petra, of Nature Travel Namibia. This adventure left an indelible mark on our hearts, weaving together the wonders of wildlife, stunning landscapes, and rich cultural experiences.

Our adventure began with the iconic climb of Dune 45 in Sossusvlei, where we stood atop a mesmerizing vista in the Namib Desert. The sense of accomplishment and the surreal beauty of the desert still fill our memories. Another highlight was Deadvlei, a place that felt like a dream – a white clay pan surrounded by dead trees and towering dunes, a sight beyond words. Wilson's insights added a magical touch to this extraordinary place.

The Damara Living Museum, Himba village, and Bushman experiences offered us rich cultural experiences connecting us deeply with Namibia's indigenous cultures. Our visit to the petrified forest took us back in time, where ancient trees turned to stone, and we marveled at the history and geology of this unique place. Here, we also had the privilege of encountering the remarkable Welwitschias, fascinating living fossils.

Our drives through Etosha National Park were perfectly tailored to our interests, providing two days of thrilling game viewing in one of Africa's premier wildlife reserves. Wilson's expertise and passion for Namibia's natural wonders made every moment unforgettable.

Wilson's graciousness and enthusiasm made him not just a guide but a cherished companion on this journey. We'll forever treasure our time with him.

In summary, our adventure with Nature Travel Namibia was nothing short of exceptional. It showcased the best of Namibia, perfectly aligned with our interests. The memories we've created will stay with us forever. I wholeheartedly recommend this journey to fellow travelers seeking a customized, well-organized, and awe-inspiring exploration of Namibia. Our heartfelt thanks go to Wilson, Petra, and Nature Travel Namibia for making this trip a dream come true.

Once in a lifetime experience
5/5

We cannot recommend Nature Travel Namibia highly enough! Our tour was absolutely fantastic and our guide, Wilson, was so knowledgeable and fun to travel with. He really made our trip extra special. We felt safe at all times and the accommodation was top shelf. From our first communication with Amber Lynn we knew we were in very good hands. She helped us create an itinerary that suited our timeframe and wish list. We were incredibly impressed with the value, quality and integrity of Nature Travel Namibia. We are so glad we had their expert help in creating a once in a lifetime experience.

Safari of a lifetime
5/5

Every aspect of this tour was well planned out and organized. Nicolette was immediately responsive when we emailed that we had missed our connecting flight and coordinated our pickup for the following day. Our guide in Namibia, Buzzy Joell, was simply amazing! He was super friendly, extremely knowledgeable and did everything possible to ensure that we had an amazing tour. He was able to modify some activities to meet our interest and the mobility limits faced by some in our group. He might have even created “birders” out of some of us. We all simply loved having a private guide that accompanied us to the different lodges and who did our game drives. It really created a fun atmosphere and it was like traveling with family near the end. The transfers to our camp in Botswana and on to Victoria Falls were well organized and the drivers were extremely helpful. This is an experience that we will be talking about for years to come.

Wonderful company to deal with and tailored the 14 days just the way we envisaged.
5/5

14 day safari tour through Namibia and Botswana finishing up at Victoria Falls. We are four older Australians who embraced all that was on offer during the tour. Our guide and driver Joram was so easy to travel with and quickly understood what we liked to see and do. Having a great sense of humour was a bonus for us. The variety of experiences was surprising: Desert living tours, shipwrecks in the ocean, ancient rock art, Himba tribes, Etosha safaris, river cruises and so many animals to be seen.
Highlights:
Lions leaving the waterhole at sunrise.
White rhino drinking at waterhole and walking towards the vehicle.
Honey badger having a sand bath right near the edge of the road.
30 to 40 elephants of all sizes marching right past our vehicle when they left the waterhole.
Beautiful mirror image photography of giraffe, zebra, Impala.
Hyena bathing in the water.
Finally seeing a cheetah but no leopard.
So many birds to photograph.
Chobe River cruise so special as finally got to see so many hippos on land including babies.
Elephants crossing the water and seeing the baby trunks like snorkels following mum.
Victoria Falls was stunning.

Excellent accommodation at all the places we stayed: some being high end resort others being small very personalised hospitality. Each day was a pleasant surprise.

All four of us had a fantastic time and would love to explore other African places in the future.

Petra at Nature Travel Namibia was an excellent tour architect for us. She was always considering our multiple idiosyncrasies and working out ways to accommodate despite us not leaving her much time with availability etc. She worked hard to piece together an excellent itinerary which came off perfectly, thanks to the amazing guiding of Wilson. Together they were a very impressive combination which resulted in a truly fantastic holiday. Thanks to you both!!

Professional service. Great guide/driver in Namibia.
5/5

We communicated directly with our agent (Amber) in regards our itinerary. There was a lot of back and fro in our planning. We were also able to use WhatsApp which proved very useful. The itinerary was out together professionally. Detailed lay out of our accommodation, excursions and activities.

During our trip, our guide and driver was a man named Stewart, a very friendly, knowledgable and outgoing person who made us feel welcome and ensured our safety. He drove very well throughout and told us lots about the history and current affairs of the nation. He helped out with photo taking and accomodated our wishes.

The accommodation we stayed in was a delight. The Gondwana collection was superb especially the Canyon Lodge in Fish River Canyon. We loved the food at each especially at Desert Lodge near Sossusvlei. However, we stayed at Belvedere Hotel in Windhoek and weren’t that impressed with the poor quality of the bed (one of the worst night’s sleep of my life) and there was no dinner served at the hotel. We had to order delivery (pizza/pasta, very average). May want to avoid this establishment.

If you’re thinking of going to Namibia, I would highly recommend visiting Sossusvlei(it’s a must do). Be sure to head up the sand dunes and then down into the pan. We also went to Swakopmund and Walvis Bay. The marine cruise was a huge surprise as we got up, close and personal to the seals and pelicans. The beach braai (BBQ) was also a lovely experience. Highly recommended. However we also went to Fish River Canyon which was a long journey south. I think you could skip this and instead head north to Damaraland and onto Safari in Etosha. We didn’t do these things as we had just come from Safari in Kenya, but our driver said Damaraland was his favourite part of Namibia. The landscape of the nation is stunning. You can drive for hours without seeing other vehicles. There aren’t many tourists around. It’s a great African country for a visit. The roads are in excellent condition.

On our arrival, our luggage was delayed, but Stewart and Amber assisted us and it was on the next flight into Windhoek. Jo’burg airport has a huge issue with luggage and it seems that many travellers do not get their baggage in time. Keep this in mind.

We highly recommend this tour operator for your Namibian trip. You won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely superb
5/5

I have no words to describe NTN and Pepe other than superb in all aspects. Pepe showed complete attention to detail as well as listening to what we asked for. She was able to put together an amazing itinerary with two days notice and find us a superb driver, Martin. My daughter and I were traveling together and not worried about safety once and could just relax and enjoy the trip. Pepe was able to find us places to stay at a spectrum of price points so we could decide what we would like to do. She answered messages incredibly quickly. Martin also went above and beyond at trying to ensure each day was great. Namibia has always been on my bucket list and I am so glad to have been able to do it in such a spectacular way - seeing a leopard eat its prey up a tree whilst its cub playfully stalked our jeep was truly amazing. A heartfelt thank you for making myself and my daughter have such an amazing time.

Friendly and competent, NTN have the expertise and contacts to make your holiday truly unforgettable
5/5

Amber Lynn from NTN helped us plan our 2-week self-drive tour of Namibia. She was able to accommodate our requirements and her suggestions (eg for guided tours) to improve our experience proved right in all cases. We had a fantastic holiday in wonderful places. Wildlife and landscapes were mind blowing, and people all over Namibia incredibly friendly and open. The lodges we stayed at were all of high standard and the food was excellent. NTN provided us with a day by day description of our tour, accommodation, sites to see and directions, which proved accurate given that the navigator does not really work that well in remote locations with no usual addresses. Thank you NTN and Amber Lynn from four happy travellers.
