Adhere to the itinerary and be responsible.
5/5

Our tour guide always kept the bus clean and tidy. He knew the road conditions, weather, and details of the attractions by heart, and carefully checked the itinerary each time. He made every effort to find every animal in the park and enthusiastically introduced them, which made us, who came all the way from China, very satisfied. He sincerely said, "I'm showing you the sights, but I also want to ensure your safety." On the last day, he took us to our hotel and watched us check in before leaving! Thumbs up to our kind and friendly tour guide!

An unforgettable safari in Tanzania – amazing wildlife in Ndutu!
5/5

We had an incredible safari experience in Tanzania! The entire trip was very well organized and everything went smoothly. One of the highlights was visiting Ndutu, where we saw an amazing amount of wildlife — large herds of wildebeest and zebras, as well as lions and cheetahs. It was truly breathtaking.

Our guide Livin was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He was very patient and always managed to find animals for us, while also sharing interesting information about the wildlife and ecosystem. He made the whole safari experience even more enjoyable.

The itinerary was well paced — full of exciting moments but never rushed. Every day brought something new and memorable.

We are very grateful for this wonderful trip and would highly recommend this company to anyone planning a safari in East Africa.

The review below is the personal opinion of Yiyun and not that of SafariBookings.
a guide who was inattentive, dishonest, and only cared about money
3/5

Although our guide John might not be the absolute worst, I still want to write about some of the unpleasant experiences during our trip, both for your reference and in the hope that it will catch the attention of the tour operator's management.
1. Suspected Ticket Fraud:
· Our scheduled 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM safari on Day 1 was reduced to 30 mins.He took us to two overpriced souvenir shops. At the first, he disappeared; at the second, he pressured us to buy, saying it "helps the locals."
· Arrived late at the park gate ~5 PM, but he kept us waiting at the gate, claiming the "ticket system was down." We entered near 6 PM.
· We later learned that entry after 6 PM is free for guests staying inside the park. Our $100/person fee (included in the package) was likely pocketed. He refused to provide a receipt.
2. Poor Game-Spotting Skills:
· Spent more hours on common animals (giraffes, zebras) while other groups saw leopards and cheetah kills.
· Claimed he "discovered" a pride of 4 lions and bragged to every guide, then demanded $10/person tip for it. We gave $5, and he sulked afterwards.
· When we asked him to find the scene that the other group has already seen, he was very serious and told us not to give pressure on him.
3. Safety & Scary Incident (Nakuru transfer):
· Stopped on a roadside for a boxed lunch; a nail punctured the tire, according to his words, when parking aside, the nail punctured(I was doubtful). During fixing the tire, a mentally unstable local opened our car door, shouting aggressively. It was terrifying. John just told us to hold our valuables on the car. We are confused and scared and not dare to get off the car, though they are fixing the car.
4. Rushing & Dishonesty (Crescent Island):
· Gave us only 1 hour at Crescent Island, rushing us back for his own schedule (wanted to "wash the car" and meet friends).
· Later asked for Day 1's tip again, hoping we forgot. We paid for safety.
5. Tardiness & Lies (Amboseli transfer):
· Arrived 3 hours late, lying about "car repairs." Hotel staff helped us to urge him.
· "Compensated" us with a cheap fast-food meal, claiming it cost him $70. We checked the menu – it was about $15. At first, he said he will compensate 3 hours late, but finally he said he catched up with the safari 3:30pm, actually it was 3:40pm and haven't reach the Amboseli gate. Not a word was mentioned about the loss of out hotel rest and leisure time.
6. Final Day Greed:
· Rushed us through the market/supermarket (total 2 hrs).
· Demanded $20 for highway tolls (far exceeding actual cost). We paid the actual receipts.
· Dropped us far from the terminal.
I hope this feedback will make them reflect on the essence of doing business—it should be built on integrity, not on deceiving customers for short-term gains. As for the guide's misconduct(other frustrating details I won't mention more), much of it was obvious to us at the time; we simply chose not to confront him for the sake of our safety and a smooth trip.

Hello Yiyun,

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent safari with us. We take all guest comments seriously as they help us improve our services. Please find our remarks regarding the points you raised below:

1. Park Entry Fees: Please note that since your three-night stay was at Muthu Keekorok (located inside the park), entry fees are calculated based on the duration of your stay. We purchased three sets of tickets for your Masai Mara duration. Regarding the delay at Sekenani Gate, this was partially due to the additional passenger you requested we transport, who had a disagreement regarding their own entry fees. I have the official receipts and will share copies with you for your records.

2. Game Spotting & Tips: While our guides are experts, game spotting does involve an element of luck. Regarding the tipping issue, as we briefed you at the airport, tips are strictly voluntary. We are concerned to hear about any "demands" for tips; this is not our policy, and we are investigating John’s conduct during your trip as we have not received such reports before.

3. Safety Incident: Regarding the encounter with the individual in Nakuru, John’s primary focus was your safety. Unfortunately, in certain areas, individuals may feign mental instability to approach vehicles for theft. He instructed you to stay inside and hold your valuables as a standard security precaution.

4. Crescent Island: We would like to clarify that the guide at Crescent Island is a local site guide and not John. However, we sincerely apologize that you felt rushed during this portion of the trip. We have shared this feedback with the island’s management to ensure it does not happen again.

5. Tardiness & Meals: The delay was unfortunately due to an unavoidable mechanical issue that required immediate repair for your safety. To compensate for the missed lunch at Amboseli Sopa Lodge, we provided a meal at KFC at no extra cost to you. While you arrived at the park later than planned, the scheduled game drive was still completed, and a boxed lunch was provided on February 25th for your return to Nairobi.

6. Final Day & Drop-off: John provided time for local shopping based on the remaining schedule before your flight. Regarding the airport, Terminal 1A has a specific designated drop-off point which all drivers must use, which may be why it felt a distance from the main entrance. Kindly note that Johns car express is always prepaid. Johns car express way is prepaid from the office. John never requested for express way money.

While we understand you requested a refund for entry fees, these were paid to the park authorities for your stay inside the reserve and are non-refundable. Thank you for your feedback; we are committed to using these details to ensure our future guests have a seamless and memorable safari.

Best regards,

[MULI MUEMA/Management]

Most amazing week in Kenya
5/5

Everything went perfectly smooth during our Safari trip. Our guide Peter is experienced and kind. He can remember all the roads in the national park and has never lost. The driving skills are also very good. I can feel that he takes good care of us and will not let the car be too upside down. If you have any questions or needs, you can communicate with him, and he will be enthusiastic to answer and arrange for us. In a week of getting along, we can feel his enthusiasm and professionalism, as well as the sincerity of Africa Celebrity. The communication with Carl before the trip was smooth, and the needs were met.

5/5

From the initial inquiry and payment process to the pre-departure reminders, everything was smooth and well organized. Communication was clear and efficient, which made us feel comfortable and well prepared before the trip.

After we arrived, all arrangements went seamlessly. Our guide Kevin was knowledgeable, patient, and attentive, and he made the entire journey both enjoyable and informative. We were very happy to see so many animals and experience the beautiful landscapes.

We also truly appreciated that the boss Muli personally came to see us off at the beginning of the trip. It showed great care and professionalism. Overall, the itinerary was thoughtfully planned, well paced, and very reasonable.

It was a wonderful experience, and we are grateful for the care and effort put into making this trip so memorable.

The entire journey was well-serviced, especially with the professional driver and guide, Morris, who was highly efficient in spotting animals. If there's another chance to go on a safari in East Africa in the future, I hope to encounter Morris again.

An unforgettable Safari trip.
5/5

The AC of the ground agency has a strong ability to lock in housing resources. It helped us book the hotel we wanted in Amboseli, Nakuru and Naivasha, but the hotel in Masai Mara was booked late. It was a pity that we didn't book the hotel we wanted. Our group is a car for 4 people, which is spacious and comfortable. Eric, the guide, is a patient gentleman. He talks very little and has good driving skills. He takes us to see a lot of animals. Eric will almost meet our requirements. But maybe our team's English is average, and the communication is not very smooth. Eric does not often take the initiative to introduce animal habits to us, but only points to us in the book after seeing the animals. When we take the initiative to ask questions, Eric will also explain patiently. Generally speaking, the travel experience is very good and the service is very good.

The service is responsive and offers high cost-effectiveness
5/5

After comparing various options, we ultimately chose Africa Celebrity.
Firstly, the price is indeed competitive. Under the same arrangement, the quotation is obviously more reasonable than that of other travel agencies. Of course, it's not easy to negotiate further.
Secondly, the overall service level is good online, as there is a Chinese service team, which makes communication efficient.
The driver and guide arranged are also very reliable.
