The wildebeest calving season in Tanzania is usually late January through early March, peaking often in February. The best place for calving is Ndutu (in the southern part of Serengeti / Ngorongoro Conservation Area). Staying 2‑3 nights in Ndutu gives you the best chances. You’ll get beautiful live action-newborns, predators (lions, hyenas, cheetahs) around, lush plains, good photographic opportunities.
