The Savuti Channel carries water from the Chobe Riverfront; however, only about 1% of the water reaches Savuti, as 99% evaporates or is absorbed into the thick sand. The Khwai area forms the third quarter of the Okavango Delta. It offers excellent opportunities for guest especially photographers to capture high-quality landscape photography along the Khwai River.
