The Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR) is one of Botswana’s most untouched and remote wilderness areas. Upon arrival, the landscape may appear semi-arid, with vast open plains and grasses that seem dry and lifeless. Makgadikgadi Pans National Park provides a striking contrast to the Kalahari. This area is known for its palatable grasses and seasonal water sources. Each year, during the rainy season, Makgadikgadi hosts one of Africa’s largest zebra migrations.
