Most itineraries pass through Tarangire in a day. This one gives you two – enough time to follow the elephant herds along the river at a proper pace, and to swap the vehicle for a guided bush walk with a ranger. Night is spent inside the park itself, in the middle of the savannah. The final day moves to the Ngorongoro Crater – a full day on the caldera floor, where lion, elephant, buffalo and a resident population of black rhino live within the natural walls of a single enclosed landscape.
