Traditionally wildebeest and zebra tend to reach peak calving around February, which makes for a beautiful natural spectacle and some exciting predator hunting behaviors. Overall, eighty percent of the newborns see the light between January, February, and early March. The migration occurs in Ndutu because after March the animals proceed to other parts of the Serengeti.
