Kisambi Tours – Terms & Conditions
By booking a tour with Kisambi Tours, a registered tour operator based in Moshi and Arusha, Tanzania, the client acknowledges and agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Booking & Confirmation
All bookings must be made directly with Kisambi Tours. A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of a 20% deposit, which forms part of the total tour cost.
For bookings made within four (4) weeks of the tour start date, the deposit must be paid immediately to secure the booking.
The remaining balance is payable in cash upon arrival in Tanzania and before the start of the tour.
All bank transaction fees are the responsibility of the client. Any shortfall due to deductions by the bank will be invoiced and must be settled before the tour commences.
2. Day Trips & Short Tours
Day trips or short excursions not combined with longer safaris or treks may be paid in cash on the day of the tour.
3. Booking Amendments
Changes to confirmed bookings (e.g., dates, accommodation, participant numbers) may incur:
A $50 USD handling fee per booking.
Any additional costs due to changes (e.g., higher accommodation rates) are charged to the client.
4. Cancellations
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.
Cancellations are effective from the date received.
The deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the client.
Kisambi Tours reserves the right to cancel a tour at its sole discretion in unavoidable situations. In such cases, any payments made by the client will be fully refunded. No further claims or compensation will be entertained.
5. Baggage Policy
Clients are responsible for their own luggage at all times. Kisambi Tours is not liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings.
Baggage allowance:
One bag not exceeding 15 kg (soft bag or backpack only)
One daypack
Excess baggage may be refused.
6. Travel Risks & Liability
All tours carry an element of personal risk. By booking, the client acknowledges and accepts these risks. Kisambi Tours is not liable for injury, illness, loss of life, or damage to property, regardless of cause.
7. Passports, Visas & Health
It is the client’s sole responsibility to ensure they have valid passports, visas, vaccinations, and other necessary documentation. Kisambi Tours is not responsible for any issues, costs, or delays arising from incomplete or incorrect travel documentation.
8. Travel Insurance
Clients are strongly advised to arrange comprehensive travel insurance before traveling. Kisambi Tours does not provide insurance and will not be held liable for claims arising from lack of coverage.
9. Authority During Tour
Clients must adhere to the instructions of their guide/driver at all times. The guide's decisions are final and binding. Clients must comply with all local laws and customs of Tanzania.
10. Use of Media
Kisambi Tours reserves the right to use photos and videos taken during tours for marketing purposes. By booking, the client grants consent for such use unless explicitly stated otherwise before the start of the tour.
11. Force Majeure
Kisambi Tours is not liable for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, war, civil unrest, pandemics, weather conditions, or mechanical breakdowns.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Tanzania. Any disputes must be settled in the courts of Tanzania.
