The Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR) is the largest protected area in Botswana. Historically, great rivers from the north fed into the prehistoric mega lake Makgadikgadi then pushed on down through the Kalahari sands. Changing weather patterns over time have altered the situation drastically leaving behind ancient riverbeds which after good rains attracts sizeable wildlife populations. The Deception valley is one of such riverbeds. Be amazed by survival of species in this harsh environment.
