The Lemosho Route approaches Kilimanjaro from the west and is one of the least crowded paths. The trek begins in lush rainforest with chances of spotting wildlife. Although challenging, the longer itinerary allows excellent altitude acclimatization. It is considered the most scenic route, crossing the Shira Plateau and passing Barranco Wall and Lava Tower. Ideal for fit trekkers who enjoy extended camping, adventure, and a quieter route with great acclimatization.
