Your journey begins with a 6:30 am departure from Nairobi, driving north for approximately 2.5 hours to reach Nanyuki town by 9:00 am. Along the way, you will make a memorable stop at the Equator crossing—an iconic landmark marking the imaginary line that divides the Earth into the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. This is a perfect spot to take photos and capture the moment of standing on both sides of the globe at once. On clear days, you may also be rewarded with breathtaking views of Mount Kenya, Africa’s second-highest peak, rising majestically above the horizon.
After this experience, continue your drive toward Samburu, arriving in time for check-in and lunch at your lodge or camp. Take some time to relax and soak in the tranquil surroundings before heading out on an exciting afternoon game drive in the Samburu National Reserve.

Day 2

Samburu National reserve to Nanyuki
After breakfast and checkout, set out for a rewarding morning game drive in Samburu National Reserve. This is the perfect opportunity to spot more of Samburu’s unique wildlife, from elephants and big cats to the special ‘Samburu Five’—Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and the long-necked gerenuk. Capture the beauty of the rugged landscape as the sun rises higher, bringing the savannah to life.
Return to your lodge for a hot buffet lunch before bidding farewell to Samburu. You will then begin your journey back toward Nanyuki, arriving in the late afternoon. On arrival, you can choose to relax in town or proceed to your onward destination.

Day 3

Olpejeta Conservancy to Nairobi
Begin your first game drive, which will last approximately 3.5 hours, taking you across the northern side of the vast Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Here, you’ll encounter a rich variety of wildlife, including the highly intelligent chimpanzees cared for at the sanctuary, alongside other iconic African animals. From there, proceed to the eastern side of the conservancy where you’ll have a remarkable opportunity to meet Baraka, the famous blind black rhino, and learn about his incredible story. You will also witness the world’s last three remaining Northern White Rhinos roaming freely within their protected enclosure—an extraordinary and rare conservation experience.
By 1:00 pm, arrive at Serena Sweetwaters Lodge, beautifully set overlooking a busy watering hole. After a delicious lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive through the conservancy, exploring more wildlife habitats before continuing your journey to arrive at your evening destination.
