Day 2

In the morning, your guide and mountain crew will meet you at the hotel as you set off for the southern gate of Kilimanjaro National Park. After securing permits and checking in with search and rescue services, your trek to Mandara Hut (2,720 m / 8,922 ft) begins.
Be sure to bring a raincoat, as this lush rainforest is full of life and occasional tropical showers.
Upon arrival at Mandara Hut, you’ll enjoy a freshly prepared lunch before relaxing in your cozy accommodation a peaceful retreat on the slopes of Kilimanjaro.
Day 3
Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

Start your day with an early breakfast at Mandara Hut before setting off toward Horombo Hut (3,720 m / 12,204 ft). As you climb, you’ll be treated to stunning views of Kibo and Mawenzi, Kilimanjaro’s two iconic volcanic peaks.
After a well-deserved lunch at camp, you’ll take a short acclimatization hike toward Kibo Hut, gaining about 200 meters (656 feet) in altitude. These gentle hikes help your body adjust to the higher elevation, boosting your chances of reaching the summit safely and reducing the risk of altitude sickness.
Take your time, stay focused, and enjoy every step of this incredible journey.
Day 4
Acclimatization at Horombo Hut
Acclimatization at Horombo Hut
After a hearty breakfast, you’ll take an important acclimatization hike toward Kibo Hut before returning to Horombo Camp. This round-trip helps your body adjust to the altitude while balancing activity with rest.
In the afternoon, enjoy free time to explore the beautiful surroundings, capture photos of the impressive Mawenzi Volcano, or simply relax and recharge for the days ahead.
The 7-day Marangu Route’s high success rate of 85% is largely thanks to this extra acclimatization day at Horombo Hut. This valuable rest allows your body to adapt, greatly improving your chances of reaching the summit safely and successfully.

Day 5
Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
After breakfast, you’ll start hiking to Kibo Hut (4,720 m / 15,482 ft). The trail is not too hard, but it’s important to walk slowly and save your energy for the big climb ahead.
When you get to Kibo Camp, take time to rest and drink plenty of water. Avoid hard activities and try to sleep well you’ll need your strength for tonight’s climb to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m / 19,340 ft), the most important part of your Kilimanjaro journey.

Day 6
Summit Uhuru Peak and Descent to Horombo Hut

Just before midnight, your mountain crew will wake you for a light snack, and then you’ll start the final climb from Kibo Camp to Uhuru Peak, Africa’s highest point at 5,895 meters.
The climb is hard and takes endurance, but your guide will be with you every step of the way. When you reach the summit, you’ll see amazing views above the clouds and feel proud to stand on the “Roof of Africa.” Take some time to rest, take photos, and enjoy the view. You can also visit a nearby glacier.
Afterward, you’ll carefully hike back down to Horombo Hut, with a rest stop at Kibo Camp. Go slow and watch your step on the way down to stay safe.

After breakfast, you’ll begin the final descent to Marangu Gate (1,970 m / 6,463 ft). There, your mountain chef will be waiting with a well-earned, hearty lunch.
This is a great time to reflect on your journey, share memories with your team, and celebrate your success. You’ll receive a certificate of achievement a special reminder of your incredible adventure.
With a strong sense of accomplishment and unforgettable memories, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel to relax and recover.
It’s the end of the climb but the beginning of many stories to tell.
