An Unforgettable African Adventure with Colors of Africa
Our trip with @ColorsofAfrica was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The seamless planning, excellent coordination, and attention to detail made our journey completely stress-free. Everything was organized perfectly, and we experienced no glitches throughout the entire trip. A special thank you to @Jemesina for her outstanding planning and coordination. Her dedication and support played a huge role in making our adventure so memorable. And to our guides, @Marcel in Kenya and @Ezekiel in Tanzania, were absolutely amazing. They were knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about wildlife. They went above and beyond to make our safari experiences special, helping us discover incredible animals, beautiful landscapes, and unforgettable moments.
Thanks to this wonderful team, our trip was truly outstanding. The memories we created will stay with us forever. We highly recommend Colors of Africa to anyone planning an African safari.

Booking Experience 🧾
I reached out to the tour operator via WhatsApp for quotations starting back in January. We held multiple follow-up meetings to finalize the itinerary. Their customer service was responsive, usually replying within an hour.
Initially our return flight was scheduled to depart from Kilimanjaro Airport, but Qatar Airways cancelled the direct flight. We had to refund all original tickets and rebook China Southern Airlines flights, which added an extra day to our trip. We maintained consistent, proactive communication with the local ground agent to update all arrangements throughout the process. In the end, this complex cross-border safari ran flawlessly with zero itinerary disruptions.
Accommodation 🏨
Overall, the mid-range camps and lodges we stayed at exceeded expectations.
Our main base in Serengeti was Serengeti Classic View Camp: the northern branch operates as a seasonal mobile tented camp, while the central site is permanent. Meals and lodging were perfectly adequate, and the food was surprisingly delicious—far better than we anticipated. There were barely any bugs around the tents. Zebras and giraffes would casually graze right outside our door every day. Falling asleep each night to the distant roars of lions and eerie cackles of hyenas was such an unforgettable thrill.
Complimentary daily laundry service was provided; simply leave your dirty clothes in the woven basket outside your tent.
Safari Vehicle 🚗
Brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser fitted with air conditioning, in excellent condition. The vehicle was stocked with white wine, beer and assorted soft drinks. One minor downside: charging ports were not available at every seat, and the AC barely blew cold air when driving over bumpy washboard dirt roads.
Tour Guides 🙋♂️
Tanzania Side
Our guide Daniel stood out—he was fair-skinned, nothing like a typical local Tanzanian. My mum and two aunties kept complimenting his good looks nonstop, leaving him utterly embarrassed. He was easily the best-dressed and most handsome guide among all the safari crews we crossed paths with.
He was knowledgeable about local flora, fauna and landmark sites, and adjusted our game drives to prioritize the wildlife we were most eager to spot.
Kenya Side (Amboseli)
Our guide Sam was absolutely incredible. He knew every patch of land where different species tended to gather. He took us to capture extremely rare shots of elephant herds crossing the river, plus massive flocks of flamingos just a few meters away from the vehicle. He even accurately predicted the elephants’ travel route and drove ahead to secure a perfect photography spot.
After our Amboseli game drive, he calculated our return timing perfectly and dropped us off at a Nairobi restaurant right on schedule for my reunion with old friends. I truly struck gold with this fantastic guide 🎉

The Perfect Honeymoon Safari – Colours Africa Tours Made Our Dream Come True
Pre-trip Planning – Hatibu Was Simply Amazing
From the very beginning, Hatibu was absolutely phenomenal. He was responsive, patient, and incredibly detail-oriented. We had countless questions (and probably changed our minds more times than we should have), but Hatibu never once showed any frustration. He worked tirelessly to craft the perfect itinerary tailored to our preferences, secured all the accommodations we requested, and made sure we had everything we needed before departure. His communication was prompt and reassuring – we felt completely at ease even before we set foot in Tanzania. Hatibu truly went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special, and we are so grateful for his dedication.
Our guide, Mr. Goodluck, was absolutely the heart of our safari experience. Exceptionally knowledgeable, warm, and deeply passionate about wildlife and the landscapes, he made every single day fascinating. He had an incredible ability to spot animals from miles away and positioned the vehicle perfectly for the best viewing angles, all while respecting the wildlife and their habitat. He shared fascinating insights about animal behavior, the ecosystem, and local culture that enriched our experience far beyond just "seeing" the animals. Every game drive with Mr. Goodluck felt like an adventure, and his enthusiasm was contagious. Transfers between parks were seamless and comfortable – we never felt rushed or stressed, thanks to his expert driving and thoughtful planning.
A special mention must go to Tom, our photographer. Tom was professional, patient, and incredibly talented. He knew exactly when and where to position us for the perfect shot, and he captured moments we would have otherwise missed – from intimate sunset silhouettes to up-close wildlife encounters. His passion for photography was evident in every frame, and the photos he delivered are nothing short of breathtaking. Thanks to Tom, we now have a stunning visual diary of our honeymoon that we will cherish for a lifetime.
Colours Africa Tours and Safaris delivered a seamless, stress-free, and absolutely magical honeymoon experience. From Hatibu's meticulous planning, to Mr. Goodluck's extraordinary guiding, to Tom's incredible photography – every member of the team played a vital role in making our trip truly unforgettable. They are honest, kind, hardworking people who go above and beyond to meet every request. Everything was well organized from start to finish, and we felt completely taken care of every step of the way.
If you are considering a safari in Tanzania – whether for a honeymoon, a family trip, or a solo adventure – do yourself a favor and book with Colours Africa. They are truly 10 out of 10.
An Incredible Safari with Unforgettable Wildlife Encounters
We recently completed a Kenya and Tanzania safari with Colours Africa Safari, and overall it was an incredible experience.
Our safari involved travelling through both Kenya and Tanzania, which requires two different vehicles and drivers/guides. The changeover takes place at the Isebania border post, and the transition between the two countries was relatively straightforward.
The accommodation was excellent, with a diverse range of camps and lodges throughout the trip. Each offered something different, and the overall standard was great.
Both of our guides were terrific. They were extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and the areas we travelled through, while also being friendly, jovial and great company throughout the safari. Their expertise really added to the experience.
The animal encounters were next level, with some truly incredible and unforgettable experiences. We saw an amazing variety of wildlife and had several moments that will stay with us for a very long time.
I do have mixed feelings about the communication from Colours Africa. While they were responsive to our emails and generally easy to contact, there were a couple of occasions where accommodation changes were not communicated to us or to the guide. This resulted in some confusion for everyone and could have been avoided with better communication.
Overall, though, we had a fantastic safari and would highly recommend the experience. The quality of the accommodation, the knowledge and personality of the guides, and the incredible wildlife encounters made this a memorable trip.
Exceptional tour that exceeded expectations
I have just completed my safari adventure and it was awesome. Our guides Richard (Kenya) and Goodluck (Tanzania) were incredible. They were so patient and accommodating and made sure we had the very best experience possible. They often worked longer days to ensure that we got to see and do everything possible in each park. Both were incredibly knowledgeable about the animals and their behaviours as well as the landscape and the culture of its inhabitants. Could not rate more highly. A trip of a lifetime. Thank you for the unforgettable memories!
