After breakfast, we drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small yet incredibly diverse park along the Great Rift Valley. Its centerpiece is the alkaline Lake Manyara, often glowing pink with thousands of flamingos. With luck, you may also spot the famous tree-climbing lions resting in the acacia branches. Lake Manyara is a bird lover’s paradise, boasting over 400 recorded species, from pelicans and storks to colorful kingfishers. The scenery here is equally impressive, with lush groundwater forests, open plains, hot springs, and the dramatic escarpment as a backdrop.
