Day 1

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Today you will begin your incredible safari through Northern Tanzania’s breathtaking landscapes and wildlife-rich national parks. After breakfast, your Maasailand Adventure guide will pick you up from your hotel. You will begin a scenic drive toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Along the way, you will pass through the scenic highlands and enjoy beautiful views of the Great Rift Valley and Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Upon arrival in the Serengeti, you will begin your first exciting game drive across the endless plains, searching for wildlife such as lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and many more. A picnic lunch will be served in a scenic spot within the park before continuing your afternoon game drive.

In the evening, you will be transferred to Tukaone Weavers Camp for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the Serengeti.

Day 2

Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

Prepare for a full day adventure in the breathtaking Serengeti National Park, the home of big cats and diverse wildlife. Experience game drives across its vast golden plains in search of the magnificent Big Five and marvel at over 500 bird species. As the day winds down, you will return to your accommodation at sunset for a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay.

*For an additional fee, you can enhance your experience with the option of a hot air balloon safari, giving you a birds-eye view of the breathtaking scenery and herds of wildlife moving across the savannah*

Day 3

After breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive toward the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying spectacular views and wildlife along the way. Encircled by towering volcanic walls, Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking sanctuary teeming with life. This UNESCO World Heritage Site features golden savannahs, lakes, swamps and acacia woodlands. Formed over 2 million years ago after a massive volcanic eruption, it is the world’s largest unbroken caldera.

This incredible area is home to a wide variety of East African wildlife, including the endangered black rhino, which you might be lucky enough to spot grazing in the grasslands. You’ll also find wildebeest, zebras, gazelles and over 500 bird species, from flamingos to hornbills.

You will spend about 5 to 6 hours exploring its many wonders, stopping for a picnic lunch and taking in the truly spectacular landscapes surrounding you. After your adventure, you will head to Heart and Soul Lodge for your final dinner and overnight stay.

After a hearty breakfast, you will start your journey to Lake Manyara National Park, a jewel of Northern Tanzania celebrated for its stunning landscapes and incredible biodiversity. You will enjoy a final game drive exploring the park’s mix of lush forests, soda lake shores and open savannahs, home to tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, baboons, hippos and thousands of flamingos that often turn the lake pink.

Following this memorable safari experience, you have the option to be dropped off at your hotel in Arusha or Kilimanjaro, or directly at Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport. We hope your time with Maasailand Adventure has been as extraordinary as the wildlife you’ve seen!
