We will pick up you at hotel, apartment and homestay Jinka, where you will immerse yourself in the culture of the Ari tribe, known for their traditional pottery-making skills. This agricultural community offers a unique glimpse into their daily lives and craftsmanship. If your visit coincides with market days—Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday—you can explore local markets in Jinka or nearby towns like Kako, Gaazer, Yetnebersh, and Kayssa, experiencing the vibrant exchange of goods and local customs. Overnight accommodations will be at Eco-Omo Lodge in Jinka, providing a comfortable base for your cultural explorationS.

Day 2

After breakfast at your lodge, embark on your journey to Turmi, the heart of the Hamar tribe. Depending on the day, you will either visit a vibrant Banna market or explore a local village, immersing yourself in the culture and commerce of the Banna people. En route, stop by a small group of Mursi individuals near Keyafer, where you can observe the unique lip plates and body scarification practices of the women. If the timing aligns, you may also have the opportunity to witness the renowned Bull Jumping Ceremony, a significant cultural event for the Banna or Hamar tribes. Conclude your day with an overnight stay at paradise Lodge in Turmi.

Day 3

Departing for Omo Rate, located 70 km south on an asphalt road, you will arrive at the last border town in southern Ethiopia, where immigration officials will verify your visa and passport. After this process, you will proceed to one of the best non-touristy villages of the Dassanech tribe, allowing for an immersive experience with the local culture. Following this visit, you will return to Turmi for lunch and some rest before heading out in the late afternoon to explore Hamar Village. Your overnight stay will be at paradise Lodge in Turmi.

Following this enriching experience, return to Turmi for lunch before exploring the local tribal market. Optionally, you may witness the Hamar bull jumping ceremony during your time in Turmi. In the afternoon, arrive in Konso village, where you will engage with the local community before meeting the Konso King at his traditional palace for a discussion about the region's heritage and customs. Your overnight stay will be at Kanta Lodge in Konso, providing a comfortable base for your explorations.
