Day 2
Udzungwa Mountain Trekking

After early breakfast Tanapa Mikumi Cottages, You will board the safari vehicle and drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park, a rainforest haven rich in endemic birds, rare primates, and exotic flora.
Embark on a day-long hike to Sanje Waterfall, trekking through dense forests, bamboo groves, and river valleys. Spot Sykes monkeys, Sanje mangabeys, and colorful tropical birds along the trail.
You will stop at a picnic site near the waterfall for lunch, enjoying the serene sounds of cascading water and forest life.
After the lunch break you will continue with the afternoon trekking, exploring the lush landscapes, river gorges, and scenic viewpoints.
This day combines adventure, nature immersion, and photography opportunities in one of Tanzania’s most pristine environments.
Late evening you will be transferred to Udzungwa Twiga Lodge for the dinner and overnight.

Day 3
Maasai Village

After breakfast at the Lodge, you will board the safari vehicle and drive to the Maasai Village for the culture tour
Upon your arrival at Maasai Boma, you will immerse yourself in authentic Maasai culture on a full-day village visit.
You will have the chance to learn about the Maasai’s traditional lifestyle, beadwork, herding practices, and social customs, and participate in cultural activities including traditional dances and storytelling sessions with elders. You will also prepare the bush fire and also you will enter inside their houses and see the way they are made from the mud, and the animals dungs
You will stop for a picnic lunch in the village or nearby scenic location.
The afternoon is spent exploring the village surroundings, observing how the Maasai live in harmony with nature, and capturing photographs of colorful attire and traditional ceremonies. You will also have the chance to visit their school and see the way the Maasai children get education.

Day 4

After breakfast, depart for Ruaha National Park, Tanzania’s largest and wildest safari destination.
The park is known for its dramatic baobab landscapes and unspoiled wilderness. Upon entering, you begin your full-day game drives across vast plains and rugged terrain. Ruaha is home to huge elephant herds, often seen moving gracefully through the park. Predators such as lions, leopards, hyenas, and cheetahs roam freely, making every moment exciting. You may also encounter buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species along the way.
You will stop for a picnic lunch inside the park allows you to relax while surrounded by nature.
After the lunch break you will proceed with the afternoon and noon game drive, explore the Great Ruaha River, where hippos wallow and crocodiles bask.

Day 5

After breakfast, set out for another full day exploring Ruaha National Park. This time you will venture into different regions of the park to experience its diverse habitats. Your guide will help you track large elephant herds gathering around waterholes.
You may also follow the movements of lion prides as they patrol the savannah. Keep a sharp eye out for the park’s more elusive leopards, often seen resting in tree branches. Ruaha is also a stronghold for rare African wild dogs, a thrilling sight if encountered.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot, surrounded by the sounds of the bush.
After lunch you will procced with the afternoon game drives through baobab woodlands and open plains. This is the perfect time to capture wildlife in the golden afternoon light.
As evening falls, observe animals becoming more active and engaging in natural behaviors. After the sun set you will drive back to Cottages for dinner and overnight, reflecting on another extraordinary day in Ruaha.

Isimila Stone Age Site Tour

After breakfast, drive to the Isimila Stone Age site, one of Tanzania’s most important archaeological locations.
This site is famous for its ancient stone tools dating back hundreds of thousands of years. Archaeologists have uncovered hand axes, cleavers, and scrapers once used by early humans. You will also see fossilized remains of extinct animals, giving insight into prehistoric life.
A guided tour explains how early humans survived and adapted to this environment. The landscape itself is striking, with dramatic sandstone pillars and eroded gorges. Walking among these formations feels like stepping back in time. The site offers a rare combination of history, geology, and natural beauty. Begin your day with an early breakfast at Camp Bastian around 05:30 AM.
Shortly after, depart for an early morning game drive in Mikumi National Park. The morning hours are the best time to witness predators returning from the night’s hunt. You may also see elephants, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, and antelope herds active in the cool air. Birds fill the savannah with sound as the sun rises, creating a magical atmosphere.
Your game drive continues until around 11:00 AM, maximizing wildlife viewing opportunities. This final safari offers excellent chances for photography and memorable sightings.
After the drive, stop for a lunch break at the Mikumi Restaurant just inside the park. Enjoy a relaxed meal before beginning your return journey
In the afternoon after the lunch break, you will drive back to Dar es Salaam, watching the scenery change along the way
