Day 2

Depart early for Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Spend the day exploring the park on game drives, spotting lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and other wildlife in their natural habitat. At noon, you will enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the park’s iconic savannah and dramatic landscapes. As the day winds down, we will drive toward a nearby lodge near Mto wa Mbu. Here, you can relax and share stories of the wildlife encounters from your exciting first day on safari.

After breakfast, drive through scenic landscapes toward the Serengeti, stopping briefly at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint to marvel at the sweeping Rift Valley. Arrive in central Serengeti (Seronera), a prime area for wildlife viewing and photography. Embark on an afternoon game drive to spot lions lounging under acacia trees, cheetahs sprinting across the plains, and elephants wandering through the savannah. Enjoy the vast open landscapes that make the Serengeti famous. Overnight at a campsite allows you to rest after a full day of travel and wildlife adventure.

Stop to visit local Maasai communities, learning about their traditions, crafts, and daily life. Arrive at a comfortable campsite near Karatu or on the crater rim. Relax with dinner while enjoying sweeping views of the highlands, preparing for the next day’s unforgettable descent into the Ngorongoro Crater.

Descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the best wildlife spots in Africa. Spend the morning game driving across the crater floor, spotting lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, and flamingos along the lakeshore. The combination of rich wildlife and spectacular scenery makes this a highlight of any safari. After a picnic lunch inside the crater, ascend back to the rim and drive to Arusha for drop-off at your hotel or airport, completing an unforgettable 6-day journey through Tanzania’s nature and culture.
