After an early breakfast in Arusha, depart towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a half-day game drive inside the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater often described as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.”
Explore the lush crater floor, home to black rhinos, lions, hippos, elephants, and abundant birdlife.
After lunch, continue your scenic drive through the southern highlands, arriving in Ndutu by late afternoon.
Settle in at your camp and enjoy the first evening in the birthing grounds of the Great Migration.

Full-Day Game Drive in Ndutu – Then Drive to Karatu

Spend the morning exploring more of the Ndutu plains with a packed lunch, immersing yourself in the action of the calving season.
Watch cheetahs on the hunt, elephant herds crossing the plains, and vultures circling above.
In the late afternoon, drive out to Karatu for overnight rest.

Karatu to Lake Eyasi (Hadzabe & Datoga Cultural Visit)

After breakfast, drive to Lake Eyasi, a remote and culturally rich area home to two of Tanzania’s most fascinating communities.
Spend the day visiting the Datoga blacksmiths and the Hadzabe hunter-gatherers, engaging in traditional practices and learning about their ancient ways of life.
In the evening, return to Karatu for overnight.

Morning Cultural Activity – Return to Arusha
