Pick up from your Nairobi hotel/airport in the morning and drive via the Great Rift Valley escarpment towards the Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy scenic views along the way and arrive in time for lunch at your lodge/camp.

In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in the Mara, introducing you to the vast savannahs teeming with wildlife—elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and prides of lions are often seen. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Spend the day exploring the Masai Mara, one of the world’s most famous safari destinations. Choose between a full-day game drive with picnic lunch or morning and afternoon drives.

The Mara is renowned for its predator sightings, from lions to cheetahs and leopards, as well as large herds of plains game. Between July and October, you may witness the dramatic Great Migration, with wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River.

Optional extras include a hot air balloon safari at sunrise (extra cost) and a visit to a Maasai village for cultural insight.

Another day to discover more of the Masai Mara’s landscapes and wildlife. Early morning and afternoon game drives increase your chances of spotting elusive animals such as leopards or hyenas. The reserve is also rich in birdlife, with crowned cranes, secretary birds, and vultures often seen.

Spend the evening relaxing at your lodge, enjoying the campfire and starlit skies.

After breakfast, check out and enjoy an enroute game drive as you exit the Mara. Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch.

In the afternoon, head out for a game drive around Lake Nakuru, famous for its flamingos, pelicans, and diverse birdlife. The park is also a rhino sanctuary and offers opportunities to see Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, and lions.
