Day 2

After an early breakfast, depart Nairobi for the Masai Mara National Reserve. The drive descends the spectacular Great Rift Valley escarpment, a geological trench approximately 6,000 kilometers in length. You will arrive at Talek Bush Camp in time for lunch. The Talek area is renowned for its proximity to the Talek River, a natural boundary where wildlife activity is high. This day is dedicated to extensive game viewing. The Masai Mara is the northern extension of the Serengeti ecosystem and hosts the Great Migration between July and October. During the January–June period, the reserve remains vibrant with resident prides of lions and cheetahs. You will traverse the rolling grasslands, characterized by the "Mara" (Maasai for "spotted") landscape of acacia trees.
