Day 1

Arusha – Tarangire National Park and Night game

Arusha – Tarangire National Park and Night game

After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park approx. 2.5 hrs.
Full day game drive inside Tarangire. This park is famous for its ancient baobabs, vast elephant herds, and excellent birdlife. You may also spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, and buffalo.

Evening: After dinner at Korongo Luxury Camp, join a Night Game Drive at 19:30 pm with Tanapa ranger—look for civets, bush babies, porcupines, and possibly leopards or lions.
Guide’s Evening Session: Before the night drive, your guide explains nocturnal behavior vs daytime activity. After returning, recap the day’s highlights and preview tomorrow’s journey to Karatu.

Day 9

Depart Kigoma in the morning (07:30–08:00 am) for a 7–8 hour scenic but rough road journey to Mahale Mountains National Park. On the way, cross from Ilagala to Kajeje via local ferry, enjoying views of Lake Tanganyika and surrounding villages.

Arrive at Bilenge Headquarters for park registration, then take a 30-minute boat ride across the crystal-clear waters of Lake Tanganyika. As you approach Kasiha, the forest-clad mountains rise dramatically from the lake—your first breathtaking view of Mahale.

Check in at Tanapa Bandas, set right on the lake’s edge. Dinner and overnight at Tanapa Kasiha Bandas.

Arrival in Kigoma and drop-off at Lake Tanganyika hotel.
