Madikwe Safari Lodge - Arrival

Your adventure starts with a private early-morning pick-up in Johannesburg or Pretoria, followed by a 4- to 5-hour drive to Madikwe Safari Lodge. After a late lunch upon arrival, a short rest, and high tea around 15:00 or 15:30 (winter and summer), you will depart on your first safari in the Madikwe Game Reserve in an open safari vehicle.

Experience a spectacular African sunset while relaxing with a sundowner. After the first stars start to appear, watch out for predators like lion, leopard and both spotted and brown hyena, as well as porcupines, bush babies, honey badgers and other interesting nocturnal animals.

Back at the lodge, stargazing and dinner await.

Final Game Drive - Farewell

Enjoy a hot drink and rusks before your sunrise drive starts around 06:00 (summer) or 07:00 (winter). Enjoy some coffee, Amarula, and traditional South African rusks and muffins on the drive, watching the sun rise over the bush, and be back at the lodge in time for brunch.

Then, it is time to pack up and leave on your return journey to the city.
