Nairobi to Masai Mara

Your journey begins at Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, where you’ll board a scheduled morning flight to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. The one-hour flight offers sweeping views of the Great Rift Valley before touching down on the vast plains of the Mara. On arrival at your airstrip, your safari guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your lodge or tented camp, with a game drive en route.

After settling in and enjoying lunch, take some time to relax before heading out on your first afternoon game drive. Explore the Mara’s rich wildlife, from elephants and lions to giraffes, buffalo, and more. As the sun sets across the savannah, return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the enchanting sounds of the wilderness.

Masai Mara

Day two is dedicated to exploring the Masai Mara in depth. Begin with an early morning game drive at peak wildlife activity, guided by an expert who will share insights into the reserve’s unique ecosystems. Depending on your lodge’s program, enjoy either a midday rest or a full-day game drive with a picnic in the bush. Look out for big cats, grazers like wildebeest and zebras, and, during the Great Migration (July–October), witness the dramatic river crossings. In the afternoon, continue your safari or opt for a cultural visit to a Masai village (at an additional cost). Return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay under the African skies.
