Game Drive in Akagera National Park

You will leave the hotel at 4:00 a.m to drive around 3 hours before getting the entry of Akagera National Park. You will start the game drive around 7 a.m. This activity requires 8 hours to cover the entire park from the South up to the North to spot different species of wildlife like Impala, antelopes, zebras, giraffes, primate species like blue monkey, vervet monkey, bush babies and olive baboons, aquatic animals like hippopotamus and crocodiles. You will never miss an occasion to spot the Big Five animals which are buffaloes, rhinos, elephants, leopards and lions (the boss of this paradise of wildlife). Approximately at 4 p.m. you will be getting out of the park to drive 4 hours to go to Musanze to stay your second night at Muhabura Hotel.

Golden Monkey Trekking and Rwanda's Culture Experience

You will leave the hotel at 6:00 a.m. to drive 20 min for heading to Kinigi, where Volcanoes National Park office is located. At 7 a.m. after briefing, you will be taken by a park guide to the Volcanoes for the golden monkey trekking. If you are lucky you should meet mountain gorillas in your trails. This activity takes 4 hours to trek them, observe their behavior ant take pictures. During afternoon, you will go to Gorilla Guardians Village to experience Rwanda's culture; traditional dance, being a King for a day, village life, hands on activities, and meeting former poachers in Volcanoes National Park, then go to stay your last night at Muzanze town again.
