Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be warmly welcomed by our company representative from Go Safari Holidays. After a short briefing about your upcoming safari adventure, you’ll be transferred to your lodge in Arusha for check-in and relaxation. Day 2

After an early breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, a beautiful sanctuary named after the life-giving Tarangire River those winds through its heart. This park is famed for its large elephant herds, towering baobab trees, and dramatic landscapes. As you explore, you’ll encounter a variety of wildlife from graceful giraffes and playful warthogs to lions and leopards lurking in the shade. Tarangire also boasts the highest number of breeding bird species in the world, making it a paradise for bird enthusiasts. After enjoying your packed lunch in the park, continue your game drive before heading to Eileen’s Tree Inn (or similar) for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive into the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, one of Africa’s most stunning natural wonders. As you reach the rim, the breathtaking view of the Ngorongoro Crater unfolds a vast, ancient caldera teeming with life. Descend into this “Garden of Eden,” where an incredible concentration of wildlife roams across open plains and shimmering lakes. Here, you may spot herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and perhaps even the rare black rhino. With over 500 bird species, the crater is also a paradise for bird lovers. After an exciting game drive and picnic lunch inside the crater, continue your journey through the Ngorongoro highlands toward the Serengeti National Park, entering from the southern plains. Dinner and overnight at Matawi Serengeti Camp (or similar).

The park’s vast grasslands stretch as far as the eye can see, offering a front-row seat to nature’s greatest spectacle the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move in search of greener pastures. Depending on the season, you may witness dramatic predator action as lions, cheetahs, and leopards follow closely behind the herds. The Serengeti’s timeless landscape, unchanged for millennia, promises breathtaking views and unforgettable moments. After lunch and an afternoon game drive, begin your journey back toward Karatu, enjoying more wildlife sightings along the way. Dinner and overnight at Farm of Dreams (or similar).

Karatu to Lake Manyara

Karatu to Lake Manyara

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a hidden gem nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Though small in size, the park is bursting with life and contrasts from dense groundwater forests to open floodplains and the shimmering alkaline lake itself. Here, you’ll encounter large troops of baboons, graceful elephants, and, if luck allows the park’s legendary tree-climbing lions. Lake Manyara is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, hosting thousands of flamingos and over 500 bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch within the park as you soak in the serene beauty of your surroundings. After your game drive, you’ll bid farewell to your guide and be transferred to Arusha, Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), or Arusha Airport (ARK) marking the end of your unforgettable Wild Encounters Safari.
