Day 1

After an early morning breakfast, your guide will pick you from your location in Kampala, by 6:30am then transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park. En-route lunch at Masindi hotel. Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park up to the top of the falls and sight the Nile’s beauty. Enjoy viewing the way the Victoria Nile squeezes itself through a narrow 6-meter gorge to form the magic scenery of Murchison Falls. After the interesting encounter proceed to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Game drive and boat cruise

Game drive and boat cruise

Arise very early in the morning, have breakfast and head out for a game drive in the savannah in search for wildlife such as Nubian giraffes, Lake Chad buffalos, lions, spotted hyenas, Savannah elephants, Uganda kobs, Lelwel’s hartebeest, common warthogs, Oribis, Bohor’s Reedbuck and many birds like Black-headed Lapwing, Blue-headed Coucal, Giant kingfisher, Swamp flycatcher, Red-throated bee eater, Black-billed barbet. The game drive is conducted in the Northern sector of the park where most of the park’s species live.
Return and have lunch at the lodge as you prepare for a thrilling boat cruise on the Nile. The launch cruise will give you an eccentric view of the Nile, amidst the encounter of the huge Nile crocodiles, hippos and several other wildlife and waders like African skimmers on the lake shores. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Chimpanzee tracking and rhino tracking

Delight in a morning breakfast, after drive to Budongo forest headquarters for a briefing. Later transfer to the trekking point and begin the trekking. You are allowed one hour to stay with the chimpanzees upon meeting them, learning their behaviors, watching them feeding, viewing the juveniles jumping from one tree branch to another making noise to each other in Budongo forest. You can watch the various colorful bird species during the chimpanzee trekking. Go for lunch
After lunch head to Ziwa rhino sanctuary the rhino tracking adventure which gives you opportunity to view the remaining wildlife in Uganda. This sanctuary was put in place to save the life of the endangered rhinos which ran extinct due to poaching. After return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Transfer to kibale national park

Transfer to kibale national park

Wake up at leisure and have breakfast. Check out and start your transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best places for chimpanzee tracking in Uganda. The park is also home to over 375 bird species, 351 tree species and 70 mammal species, out of which 13 are primate species including chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus, L’Hoest’s monkeys, Red-cheeked Mangabey and Uganda red colobus monkeys. You will drive Southwards through the Albertine escarpment with captivating sights of the country side. Drive through Hoima town to Fort Portal for lunch. Later proceed to the park for an overnight.

Day 5

Chimpanzee tracking and bigodi swamp walk

Chimpanzee tracking and bigodi swamp walk

After an early breakfast, drive to the chimpanzee briefing point where you will be briefed about the activity. You will be assigned a game ranger and armed men for your safety in the forest. Shortly, you will enter and walk through the forest as the ranger keeps in touch with the monitoring team on ground. The walk is exciting as the ranger will explain to you the different flora and fauna in the park.
Upon finding the chimpanzees, spend up to an hour interacting and taking photos depending on their mood. Later, return to the briefing point and drive back to the lodge for lunch as you prepare for the Bigodi swamp walk and community experience. Among the activities to excite you here include local liquor making, weaving of baskets, cultural dances, and also paying a visit to the cultural doctor. Later drive back to the lodge for an overnight.

Have breakfast, checkout and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Rwimi. You will drive through scenic views of some different crater lakes like Lake Nyinambuga, Kasenda and Kifurukwa, seen along the journey. As you approach Kasese town, you will have spectacular views of the Rwenzori ranges. Arrival in Queen Elizabeth National Park for check-in and lunch. After lunch, take an afternoon game drive with chances of seeing species like African elephants, African Cape buffaloes among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7

Have breakfast and head out for a game drive in the Kasenyi plains. You will be exposed to species like African elephants, African Cape buffaloes, Uganda Kobs and on a lucky day, catch sight of leopard and lions. The park boasts a record of over 600 bird species. Later drive back to the lodge for hot lunch and shortly take a boat cruise on Kazinga channel.
The Kazinga channel is a 42km stretch, connecting Lake George and Lake Edward with rewarding big herds of buffaloes, school of hippos, Nile crocodiles and different bird species like the rare African skimmers and Lesser Flamingos. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the park while on the cruise. After this awesome experience, you can opt for a sundowner at one of the crater lakes or transfer back to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 9

Gorilla trekking

Wake up very early, have breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for a briefing before the gorilla trekking activity. You will then be assigned a group to track a particular gorilla family. You will be led into the jungle by an armed ranger who will keep in touch with the monitoring team on ground in order to easily locate the mountain gorillas. The activity takes between 3-7 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Once you find the gorilla family, you will be given up-to an hour to watch them in their natural habitat playing, feeding, resting and going about their daily life. Take as many photos as you can and later return to the lodge for lunch, afternoon relaxation and overnight.

Have breakfast and head out for a brief nature walk to the local Batwa community and interact with them. The Batwa are also known as pygmies or Twa. They are one of the oldest indigenous tribes in Africa and are believed to be the first inhabitants of the equatorial forests of the region. They live in small huts made from sticks and grass. You will take photos and proceed to the lodge for lunch after that transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, enjoy viewing the beautiful scenery along the lake in the evening. Lake Bunyonyi is also called place of Many Little Birds. Located in south-western Uganda between Kisoro and Kabale¸ close to the border with Rwanda Have a boat cruise, You will take photos and proceed to the lodge for check-in¸ relaxation and overnight.

Have breakfast and set off for a two hours’ drive to Jinja. Arrive and take a motor boat ride to the source of the longest river in the world ‘River Nile’. Along the Nile cruise, you will have an up-close with some bird species like Green-backed Heron, African Darter, Giant and Malachite Kingfisher, Little Egrets and the famous Nile monitor lizards. The cruise also gives spectacular aerial view of the Nile where John Speke stood and spotted the source of the Nile. After the cruise, transfer to Entebbe to catch your flight back home. End of trip.
