Zanzibar - Tanga - Lushoto – Irente Farm Lodge

Morning: Pick-up from your hotel or Zanzibar Airport. Fly by light aircraft (~1 hr) to Tanga Airstrip, enjoying spectacular views of the Indian Ocean.
Upon arrival, meet your driver-guide and take a scenic 1.5-hour 4×4 drive to Lushoto through lush hills and local villages.

Afternoon Activity: After check-in at Irente Farm Lodge, enjoy a short guided walking safari to Irente Viewpoint, a gentle nature trail offering sweeping views over the Usambara Valley. Along the way, spot colorful birds and small forest wildlife.

Evening: Dinner and overnight at Irente Farm Lodge, surrounded by peaceful mountain scenery.

Magamba forest - Maweni Farm

Morning: After breakfast, set out on a guided trek (3–4 hours) through Magamba Forest, known for rare birdlife, colobus monkeys, and orchids. Your guide will interpret the forest ecosystem during this immersive walking experience.

Lunch: Picnic lunch in the forest, surrounded by nature.

Afternoon: Continue by 4×4 to Maweni Village for a short cultural and community visit. Learn about traditional farming and daily village life before returning to your lodge.
