1-Day Lake Manyara - Emerald Lake and Tree-Climbing Lion

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your Arusha hotel around 6:30 a.m. for a drive through the Rift Valley escarpment to Lake Manyara National Park. As you enter the park, lush forests filled with baboons and blue monkeys welcome you. Continue to the open plains and the lake’s edge to watch flamingos and pelicans feeding in the shimmering waters. Keep your eyes open for the park’s famous tree-climbing lions resting on acacia branches. Enjoy your picnic lunch at a designated spot with views of the lake, followed by a gentle afternoon game drive before heading back to Arusha in the evening.
